Bicycles are reliable, cheap and can help you get around town easily.
Bicycle parking is available at all VU campuses.
Our Footscray Park and Footscray Nicholson campuses also have bicycle hubs with showers, lockers for your clothing and secure bike parking.
Footscray Park bike hub registration
The Footscray Park bike hub is located in a secured area in Building PB1.
Complete the bike hub application form.
Take the completed form with your deposit to the Student Service Centre in Building M, Level 1.
Footscray Nicholson bike hub registration
The Footscray Nicholson bike hub is located in a secured area in Building N (Beanland Building).
Complete the bike hub application form.
Take the completed form with your deposit (electronic payments only) to the Student Service Centre in the Telford Building, Level 2.
If you prefer to make a cash payment, you can do this at other Student Service Centres, including the Footscray Park campus in Building M, Level 1.
Cost of using the hubs
You'll need an access fob to use the bike hub (you can use the same fob at both Footscray Park and Footscray Nicholson campuses). Access fobs and locker keys require separate deposits.
Access fob deposit: $25 (compulsory).
Locker key deposit: $25 (lockers are an option you can choose).
If you already have a bike hub access fob and just want to apply for a locker key, or if you'd like a locker key at both bike hubs, just complete the bike hub application form.
Deposit refunds
You can get your deposit back when you:
- submit a bike hub deposit refund form and
- return the access fob and locker key (if you had one) to the Security office or the Facilities Service Desk, Footscray Park Campus, Building K, Level 2.
TravelSmart maps
TravelSmart Maps containing cycling routes near the VU campuses are available from the Student Service Centres at Footscray Nicholson and Footscray Park.
