Personality has to do with individual differences among people in behaviour patterns, cognition and emotion. Different personality theorists present their own definitions of the word based on their theoretical positions.
The term "personality trait" refers to enduring personal characteristics that are revealed in a particular pattern of behaviour in a variety of situations.
Personality can be determined through a variety of tests, such as the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2), Rorschach Inkblot test, Neurotic Personality Questionnaire KON-2006 or Eysenck's Personality Questionnaire (EPQ-R)
The study of personality started with Hippocrates' four humours and gave rise to four temperaments. The explanation was further refined by his successor Galen during the second century CE. The "Four Humours" theory held that a person's personality was based on the balance of bodily humours; yellow bile, black bile, phlegm and blood. Choleric people were characterized as having an excess of yellow bile, making them irascible. High levels of black bile were held to induce melancholy, signified by a sombre, gloomy, pessimistic outlook. Phlegmatic people were thought to have an excess of phlegm, leading to their sluggish, calm temperaments. Finally, people thought to have high levels of blood were said to be sanguine and were characterized by their cheerful, passionate dispositions.
Lloyd Price (born March 9, 1933) is an American R&B vocalist. Known as "Mr. Personality", after one of his million-selling hits. His first recording, "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", was a hit on Specialty Records in 1952, and although he continued to release records, none were as popular until several years later, when he refined the New Orleans beat and achieved a series of national hits. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Born in Kenner, Louisiana, United States, and growing up in a suburb of New Orleans, Price had formal musical training in trumpet and piano, sang in his church's gospel choir, and was a member of a combo in high school. His mother, Beatrice Price, owned the Fish 'n' Fry Restaurant, and Price picked up a lifelong interest in business and in food from her.
When Art Rupe of Specialty Records came to New Orleans scouting for talent and heard Price's song, "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", he wanted to record it. Because Price did not have a band (though he would eventually start his own band in 1949), Rupe hired Dave Bartholomew and his band (which included Fats Domino on piano) to do the arrangements and back up Price in the recording session. The song turned out to be a massive hit and his next release cut at the same session, "Oooh, Oooh, Oooh" a much smaller one. Price continued making recordings for Speciality but did not chart any further hits at that time.
A personality test is a questionnaire or other standardized instrument designed to reveal aspects of an individual's character or psychological makeup.
The first personality tests were developed in the 1920s and were intended to ease the process of personnel selection, particularly in the armed forces. Since these early efforts, a wide variety of personality tests have been developed, notably the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the MMPI, and a number of tests based on the Five Factor Model of personality, such as the Revised NEO Personality Inventory.
Estimates of how much the industry is currently worth are between $2 and $4 billion a year. Personality tests are used in a range of contexts, including but not limited to, individual and relationship counseling, career counseling, employment testing, occupational health and safety and customer interaction management.
Cause & Effect is the debut album by Cause & Effect, released in 1990. It scored two top ten dance singles and a Billboard top 20 singles hit with "You Think You Know Her". Released under the Exile Records label in 1990. Manufactured and distributed by Nastymix.
Social media are computer-mediated tools that allow people or companies to create, share, or exchange information, career interests, ideas, and pictures/videos in virtual communities and networks. Social media is defined as "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, and that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content." Furthermore, social media depend on mobile and web-based technologies to create highly interactive platforms through which individuals and communities share, co-create, discuss, and modify user-generated content. They introduce substantial and pervasive changes to communication between businesses, organizations, communities, and individuals. These changes are the focus of the emerging field of technoself studies. Social media differ from traditional or industrial media in many ways, including quality, reach, frequency, usability, immediacy, and permanence. Social media operate in a dialogic transmission system (many sources to many receivers). This is in contrast to traditional media that operates under a monologic transmission model (one source to many receivers).

Plot: A story about those who have fallen out of the system. A man who is not homeless, but upwardly mobile as an opinionated radio host, is about to step up to another plateau as a politician. His true nature is good, but his actions are motivated not by his nature, but by needs and wants that a system like ours seduces us with. A system where survival is awarded not to the fittest anymore, but to the cleverest. The downtrodden characters in "Monday Morning" are the hardcore homeless. Hopeless rather than homeless. For writer-director, Nat Christian, "Monday Morning" is when the mechanism of the city wakes up - car horns start honking, water sprinklers start gushing, trucks barrel down the road, workers hose the sidewalks, and the homeless people get out of the way. "Mature subject matter" and "Viewer Discretion" is definitely advised.

'For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them....' Romans 12:3-6
In this lecture, I talk about the thorny problem of predicting performance: academic, industrial, creative and entrepreneurial); about the practical utility of such prediction, in the business and other environments; about the economic value of accurate prediction (in hiring, placement and promotion) -- which is incredibly high. Intelligence (psychometrically measured IQ) is the best predictor of performance in complex, ever changing environments. Conscientiousness is the (next) best predictor, particularly in the military, in school and in conservative businesses. Agreeable people make better caretakers; disagreeable people, better disciplinarians and negotiators (within reasonable bounds). Open people are artistic, creative and entrepreneurial. Extraverts are good socially. Introverts ...
UCLA professor and author, Dario Nardi, has discovered that people of different personality types don't merely rely on different brain regions -- they use their brains in fundamentally different ways. Using colorful anecdotes and brain imagery, Dr. Nardi shares key insights from his lab. Among these insights: how people of different personalities can find and sustain a state of creative flow. This talk is suitable for a general audience including those who have passing familiarity with the Myers-Briggs types.
In this lecture, I bring the 2017 Introduction to Personality and its Transformations to its close, talking about the psychology of belief, describing the reality and potential of the individual. Human beings are information foragers, evolved to live on the border between explored and unexplored territory, order and chaos and, symbolically, ying and yang. That's where information flow is maximized, and the meaning that helps buttress us against tragedy is to be found. "Supreme Personality" How to Use Your Secret Inner-Mind-Thought Power, Self-Development Audiobook, by Delmer Eugene Croft
In Dissolving Your Personality, Sadhguru suggests that we not merely dissolve habitual ways of seeing, but equally habitual ways of being. He suggests, in short, that we dissolve ourselves (or what we think of as ourselves) – the knotted, self-limiting bundle of preferences and opinions that we term our ‘personalities’. But this dissolution is not a rejection of life; simply a joyful retrieval of what really counts. And does that loss of personality condemn us to a cheerless insipidity? Far from it. Instead, we are now empowered to adopt as many personalities as we want. But there is a difference. This time around, our personalities no longer cling to us; we can don and discard them at will. For they have been created in full awareness, not in some dank unexamined crevice of our consciousn...

Usually taking hold in childhood, Multiple Personality Disorder is thought of as many people's way of shutting out abuse and trauma from their formative years. During this film we get to see some people who suffer from the disorder, whilst exhibiting their various different personalities. Film by: HBO / Michael Mierendorf / Gloria Steinem Year: 1993
When Madam Pompadour was on a ballroom floor
Said all the gentlemen "Obviously,"
"The madam has the cutest personality"
And think of all the books about Du Barry's looks
What was it made her the toast of Paree?
She had a well-developed personality
(What did Romeo see in Juliet?)
(Or Figaro in Figarette?)
(Or Jupiter in Juno?)
You know!
And when Salome danced and had the boys entranced
No doubt it must have been easy to see
That she knew how to use her personality
(A girl can learn to spell and take dictation well)
(And never sit on the boss's left knee)
(Unless she's got a perfect personality)
(A girl can get somewhere in spite of stringy hair)
(Or even just a bit bowed at the knee)
(If she can show a faultless personality)
Why are certain girls offered certain things
Like sable coats and wedding rings?
By men who wear their spats right?
(That's right!)
(So don'tcha say "I'm smart and have the kindest heart"
(Or "what a wonderful sister I'd be")
Just tell me how you like my
Mercer "Rufff!!
ALL backups
(Personality)
BRBaby, you've got the cutest
