    The technician is paid. The venue owner is paid. The barista is paid. But the writer is the person putting on the show!

    Dear Festival Directors - please stop offering writers contracts to appear and then ask them to donate their fees. Unless of course you are donating your wages too. Enough is enough. If you can't respect the hard work of the writer how can we expect others to?
