Grand may refer to:
A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water. Small rivers can be referred to using names such as stream, creek, brook, rivulet, and rill. There are no official definitions for the generic term river as applied to geographic features, although in some countries or communities a stream is defined by its size. Many names for small rivers are specific to geographic location; examples are "run" in some parts of the United States, "burn" in Scotland and northeast England, and "beck" in northern England. Sometimes a river is defined as being larger than a creek, but not always: the language is vague.
Rivers are part of the hydrological cycle. Water generally collects in a river from precipitation through a drainage basin from surface runoff and other sources such as groundwater recharge, springs, and the release of stored water in natural ice and snowpacks (e.g. from glaciers). Potamology is the scientific study of rivers while limnology is the study of inland waters in general.

Its more common modern nickname of River City refers to the landmark river for which it was named. The city and surrounding communities are economically diverse, based in the health care, information technology, automotive, aviation, and consumer goods manufacturing industries, among others.
Grand Rapids is the hometown of U.S. President Gerald Ford, who is buried with his wife Betty on the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in the city.
Today was a rainy day, and river levels were high, but I thought I would do some fishin' anyway. Theres something about fishing in the rain that I absolutely love, especially when I'm catchin' fish. I shot a bunch of casts all up and down the shore line looking for some bass or pike but I was coming up with nothing. So I started shooting some casts out and slow rolling my spinnerbait along the bottom, bumpin' all the rocks, and.. BAM! Mr. Walleye showed up to say hello. If you live near the Grand River, you should get out and do some fishing! This is family fishing week and you don't even need a license. You would be surprised at what you can catch in the Grand River. Take care everybody, and I hope you enjoy the video.
