The Faction (band)
The Faction is a hardcore punk rock band from San Jose, California. Pioneers of the skate punk era during the early 1980s, their longest stint being from Halloween 1982 until Halloween 1985, The Faction were one of the first bands whose music and lifestyle tastes centered on punk rock and skateboarding. An early demo tape had these words inscribed on the label, "Music By Skaters For Skaters." All original band members and their subsequent replacements are accomplished skateboarders, most notably bass and guitar player and legendary professional skateboarder Steve Caballero. In the early years of the band Caballero was instrumental in attracting a large following of skateboarders to the band. Lead singer Gavin O'Brien was also a notable skateboarder, popular at local Winchester Skatepark. Drummer Craig Bosch has a skateboard trick named after him, "the Bosch" aka invert to blunt. Pro skateboarder Jeff Kendall would also play with The Faction during 1989.

For Honor
For Honor is a hack and slash video game in development by Ubisoft Montreal and set to be published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was announced at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game features a hand-to-hand combat system described as "The Art of Battle" by the developers and allows players to play the roles of historical soldiers such as medieval knights, samurai, and Vikings.
Gameplay
For Honor is a non-fantasy hack and slash video game set during the medieval period. Players can play as a character from three different factions, namely The Legion, The Chosen, and The Warborn. The three factions represent knight, samurai, and Vikings, respectively. Different classes have different abilities and weapons, and customization will be available for players. For instance, the gender of the characters, and the armor worn by them, can be changed and customized.
Players fight against each other with melee-weapons such as axes and swords. The game features competitive multiplayer modes that can support up to eight players, who will be split evenly into two different teams. When a match starts, players will be accompanied by numerous AI teammates, who assist players. Points, both temporary and permanent, can be earned in a match. When one team earns enough points, they must eliminate the players from the other team. Once all the players from a team are eliminated, the match ends. When players kill a certain number of enemies consecutively, they can level up, and gain Feats, which are additional perks. These perks allow players to gain additional points and strengths, call in a barrage of arrows or a catapult attack, or heal themselves.

The Faction S.J. at the Skate Rock show at The Stardust Ballroom in Hollywood in May of 1984. The Faction were a hardcore punk rock band from San Jose, California. Pioneers of the skate punk era during the early 1980s, their longest stint being from Halloween 1982 until Halloween 1985, The Faction were one of the first bands whose music and lifestyle tastes centered on punk rock and skateboarding. An early demo tape had these words inscribed on the label, "Music By Skaters For Skaters." The Faction is a punk rock band from San Jose, California who are closely linked to the underground skateboarding culture. The band played primarily during the years 1982 to 1985, although a different lineup recorded three songs and played two shows in 1989, and then another lineup played numerous shows and recorded 4 new songs in the early 21st century. Steve Caballero, one of skateboarding’s brightest stars, play bass, and then guitar, in The Faction. Caballero probably attracted a lot of young skateboarders’ interest to the band, but the music kept them coming back for more, and he wasn’t the only skater in the band. Adam “Bomb” Segal’s trademark high top Vans in all the bright, cool colors of the day had ollie holes on both shoes-the dude was doing switch tricks before anyone. Keith Rendon (drummer #1), Ray Stevens, II (bass) and Craig Bosch (drummer #2) were all accomplished skaters; Craig even has a trick named after him: the Bosch (a invert to blunt on a curb, ledge, etc).
Catching onto the then-noteworthy idea of touring , the band gained notoriety through repeated exposure in the skateboarding world, which helped on tour, and which helped create a national fanbase.
Thrasher Magazine’s MoFo compiled the first Skate rock tape, which featured several Faction songs, as well as songs by JFA and the Big Boys, the two other most established skate punk bands. Other bands included were Riot 303, Minus One, Los Olvidados, Skoundrelz, featuring Tony Alva, Anvil Chorus, Free Beer, featuring San Francisco’s Tony and Tommy Guerrero, and others.

THE FACTION ☠ LIVE AT BLANK CLUB IN SAN JOSE CA 2014 HD
The Faction is a punk rock band from San Jose, California who are closely linked to the underground skateboarding culture. The band played primarily during the years 1982 to 1985, although a different lineup recorded three songs and played two shows in 1989, and then another lineup played numerous shows and recorded 4 new songs in the early 21st century. Steve Caballero, one of skateboarding’s brightest stars, play bass, and then guitar, in The Faction. Caballero probably attracted a lot of young skateboarders’ interest to the band, but the music kept them coming back for more, and he wasn’t the only skater in the band. Hidden Trails - Instant Momentary Bliss (2016) (New Full Album)
Hidden Trails is a Belgian band consisting of drummer Dave Houtmeyers and bassists / synth and keybords player Tom Vanlaer, both of Hypnos 69 fame and Jo Neyskens, who provided vocals and guitars. 2016 saw the release of their debut album "Instant Momentary Bliss" on Elektrohasch Records. Their sound can be described as mellow melodic psychedelic rock with some progressive rock and jazzy leanings. Beautifully circulating keyboards float as if from a mystical nebula, and you circle yourself as friendly as a good spirit. The Faction S.J. at the Skate Rock show at The Stardust Ballroom in Hollywood in May of 1984. The Faction were a hardcore punk rock band from San Jose, California. Pioneers of the skate punk era during the early 1980s, their longest stint being from Halloween 1982 until Halloween 1985, The Faction were one of the first bands whose music and lifestyle tastes centered on punk rock and skateboarding. An early demo tape had these words inscribed on the label, "Music By Skaters For Skaters." All original band members and their subsequent replacements are accomplished skateboarders, most notably bass and guitar player and legendary professional skateboarder Steve Caballero. In the early years of the band Caballero was instrumental in attracting a large following of skateboarders to the band. Lead singer Gavin O'Brien was also a notable skateboarder, popular at local Winchester Skatepark. Drummer Craig Bosch has a skateboard trick named after him, "the Bosch" aka invert to blunt. Pro skateboarder Jeff Kendall would also play with The Faction during 1989.

Keith Rendon (drummer #1), Ray Stevens, II (bass) and Craig Bosch (drummer #2) were all accomplished skaters; Craig even has a trick named after him: the Bosch (a invert to blunt on a curb, ledge, etc).
Catching onto the then-noteworthy idea of touring , the band gained notoriety through repeated exposure in the skateboarding world, which helped on tour, and which helped create a national fanbase.
Thrasher Magazine’s MoFo compiled the first Skate rock tape, which featured several Faction songs, as well as songs by JFA and the Big Boys, the two other most established skate punk bands. Other bands included were Riot 303, Minus One, Los Olvidados, Skoundrelz, featuring Tony Alva, Anvil Chorus, Free Beer, featuring San Francisco’s Tony and Tommy Guerrero, and others.

Hidden Trails is a Belgian band consisting of drummer Dave Houtmeyers and bassists / synth and keybords player Tom Vanlaer, both of Hypnos 69 fame and Jo Neyskens, who provided vocals and guitars. 2016 saw the release of their debut album "Instant Momentary Bliss" on Elektrohasch Records. Their sound can be described as mellow melodic psychedelic rock with some progressive rock and jazzy leanings. Beautifully circulating keyboards float as if from a mystical nebula, and you circle yourself as friendly as a good spirit. A little "Close To The Edge" feeling and restrained vocals with reminiscences of Sungrazer and Been Obscene immediately combine the special charm of classical progressive bands with the young savages of the psychedelically arid scene. But the influences of the music can be explained by the line-up, Hidden Trails consists of two-thirds, namely the complete rhythm section of Hypnos 69, the great Belgians from the electrohash circuit. So Hidden Trails plays as a worthy successor on the hidden paths of this no longer existing band. And that's what you hear.
Anyone who has dealt with Hypnos 69 should therefore be aware that, contrary to the widely held opinion that only Stoner bands would be released to the Rock mankind from the House of Elektrohash, a much more progressive approach would be pursued here. It was precisely this tension field between almost orchestral interspersions with ecstatic eruptions into classical riff thunderstorms and moving guitar solos, which fascinated me so much about the previous band. For the first time - and particularly violently in "Mutations" - this described tension field is a great ending with stratocaster strings, almost like in Seven That Spells masterpiece "AUM". But do not worry, it will not be as martial as with the above-mentioned peers. Stunning harmonies and a sophisticated melody are preserved throughout the album and find in Ricky with a psychedelically squeaking saxophone sound, presumably rather key-moderately, a good signpost for this style.
A mysterious atmosphere with folky acoustic guitars and multi-voice vocals carry Ricky, completed with a relaxed, restrained electric guitar solo. Here the drift into early times of rock music and the psychedelic urge in a distant galaxy is very strong - but it's immediately grounded again with the biggest surprise of this album, "Hands Unfold", a kind of progressive jam, sounds like Jon Anderson and Roine Stolt are trying to think of ABB's "Blue Sky". Jam rock on prog, crazy beautiful. Such a thing is usually found in Scandinavians like Motorpsycho or Causa Sui. Anyone who knows how to approach progressive structures will know a new competent combo and learn to love. I like these versatile songs that deliberately circle between the genres and the times. Classic headbangers and friends of the straight line faction might be a bit confused. You have to follow the paths of the Hidden Trails with concentration, otherwise you get lost in the end.
This great album deserves a lot of love – it's really something special. Hints of Pink Floyd atmospherics weave in and out of these alt-prog compositions, with an overall ambience that is very warm and beautifully welcoming. This bliss is not at all momentary. This is a magical record. Call it whatever you want: trippy, psych, experimental, alternative...whatever. Just grab a copy, your best set of headphones and get lost in it.

Hidden Trails is a Belgian band consisting of drummer Dave Houtmeyers and bassists / synth and keybords player Tom Vanlaer, both of Hypnos 69 fame and Jo Neyskens, who provided vocals and guitars. 2016 saw the release of their debut album "Instant Momentary Bliss" on Elektrohasch Records. Their sound can be described as mellow melodic psychedelic rock with some progressive rock and jazzy leanings. Beautifully circulating keyboards float as if from a mystical nebula, and you circle yourself as friendly as a good spirit. A little "Close To The Edge" feeling and restrained vocals with reminiscences of Sungrazer and Been Obscene immediately combine the special charm of classical progressive bands with the young savages of the psychedelically arid scene. But the influences of the music can be explained by the line-up, Hidden Trails consists of two-thirds, namely the complete rhythm section of Hypnos 69, the great Belgians from the electrohash circuit. So Hidden Trails plays as a worthy successor on the hidden paths of this no longer existing band. And that's what you hear.
Anyone who has dealt with Hypnos 69 should therefore be aware that, contrary to the widely held opinion that only Stoner bands would be released to the Rock mankind from the House of Elektrohash, a much more progressive approach would be pursued here. It was precisely this tension field between almost orchestral interspersions with ecstatic eruptions into classical riff thunderstorms and moving guitar solos, which fascinated me so much about the previous band. For the first time - and particularly violently in "Mutations" - this described tension field is a great ending with stratocaster strings, almost like in Seven That Spells masterpiece "AUM". But do not worry, it will not be as martial as with the above-mentioned peers. Stunning harmonies and a sophisticated melody are preserved throughout the album and find in Ricky with a psychedelically squeaking saxophone sound, presumably rather key-moderately, a good signpost for this style.
A mysterious atmosphere with folky acoustic guitars and multi-voice vocals carry Ricky, completed with a relaxed, restrained electric guitar solo. Here the drift into early times of rock music and the psychedelic urge in a distant galaxy is very strong - but it's immediately grounded again with the biggest surprise of this album, "Hands Unfold", a kind of progressive jam, sounds like Jon Anderson and Roine Stolt are trying to think of ABB's "Blue Sky". Jam rock on prog, crazy beautiful. Such a thing is usually found in Scandinavians like Motorpsycho or Causa Sui. Anyone who knows how to approach progressive structures will know a new competent combo and learn to love. I like these versatile songs that deliberately circle between the genres and the times. Classic headbangers and friends of the straight line faction might be a bit confused. You have to follow the paths of the Hidden Trails with concentration, otherwise you get lost in the end.
This great album deserves a lot of love – it's really something special. Hints of Pink Floyd atmospherics weave in and out of these alt-prog compositions, with an overall ambience that is very warm and beautifully welcoming. This bliss is not at all momentary. This is a magical record. Call it whatever you want: trippy, psych, experimental, alternative...whatever. Just grab a copy, your best set of headphones and get lost in it.
