More than that it used to be the actual capital of Persia for quite some time and therefore offers an interesting mix of sights. We used our time in the city to explore the best things to do in Shiraz by focussing on attractions and spots that are interesting for younger travelers paired with important historic landmarks such as Persepolis or the Karim Khan citadel. But we also got to try some Iranian fast food and traditional vegetarian dishes to show you the whole spectra of Persian cuisine. During our 4 days is Shiraz we experienced some very impressive sights such as the colorful Nasir ol Molk mosque in the early morning or the Shah Cheragh at night. Beside typical tourist attractions we wanted to see what the real Iran is like and reached out to local friends for further recommendations. This way we got to go to places locals use to hangout, have a coffee or simply relax.
