Perhaps if we calculated the annual bill for suppprtimg refugees , then put a direct tax on everyone earning over £ 76 thousand to pay the bill , MPs could put their money where their vote is
-

-
It's a tiny amount of money you clown
-
Just for clowns like me, could you tell us what the annual cost is .
-
Last year we took 5000 refugees. That's 0.001% of the population. It's like adding one extra seat to a 60 000 seater football stadium. Oh and by the way most of them get jobs, work and pay taxes

Thank you

Anna u have great sympathy for migrants, this is wonderful. I hope that u will be taking in a family (who have been re-united) into your house very soon - to set a shining example to us all.

She has not advocated taking refugees into people's homes, you dolt. Perhaps if your family were bombed and shot you might have an ounce of empathy.
-
I have more empathy for the children exploited up the road in Telford or the batch of new homeless around shrewsbury . Much better to allow more people in before we can even solve our own problems. Solve those issues issues and I’d whole heartedly support it .
-
The government should be investing more to solve those issues instead of giving their rich friends tax cuts. Refugees are human beings often bombed out of their homes, desperately trying try to escape and survive. Don't lose your humanity.
-
But they won’t and they don’t . How do you tell these kids there’s no funding for them yet they walk past two Council houses that have been completely renovated for two Syrian families ? Those same kids are someone’s sons , desperate to survive yet being given sweet FA
-
They will if you vote for a party willing to invest instead of giving the rich tax cuts. You've constructed a bizarre scenario in your limited mind to explain away your real, shameful agenda: hatred of forrins. On your way now. -muted
-
And your unlimited ? Wake up and realise you can’t solve the problems 4000 Miles away when you can’t finda solution to problems 400 yds away .As for voting do you really think a change of govt will help the homeless and exploited ...... your lack of overview is sadly typical ....

It's the fact that they were considering voting against it in the first place that worries me

You do know that people can be British and a different color than white?

The nhs is in crisis due to underinvestment and a failure to plan for a growing urban population due to a decline in the manufacturing industry. Not due to a few refugees

I do. Its called not blaming immigrants and studying into a matter (alongside having medic family). Add on ageing population the lack of planning leads to this situation. I admit immgration a factor but not the sole or main
-
I'm not blaming the immigrants. I'm blaming the government, which encourages about 600,000 gross, 300,000 net to arrive each year. Doesn't ask them to integrate and then punishes the white community for being white.
