Flood Warning for the Western and Diamantina Rivers

Flood Warning Number: 6

Moderate flood levels are rising slowly on the Diamantina River at Diamantina
Lakes.

No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flood levels are easing at Elderslie but rising slowly further
downstream at Diamantina Lakes.

Western River:
River levels are easing along the Western River.

The Western River at Winton was 1.90 metres and falling on Thursday afternoon.
It is likely the river level has now fallen below the minor flood level (1.50
metres).

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River levels are rising slowly at Monkira.

Flood Safety Advice:
Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For flood emergency assistance contact
the SES on 132 500. For life threatening emergencies, call Triple Zero (000)
immediately.
