CRAMER: HOUSE PASSES STOP SCHOOL VIOLENCE ACT
The STOP School Violence Act, H.R. 4909, reauthorizes and amends the Secure Our Schools program, providing local law enforcement, school personnel and students with the tools they need to proactively prevent a threat. The legislation authorizes funding for state and local schools to make evidence-based investments in the development and operation of school threat assessment teams to help schools to intake and triage threats before tragedy strikes. -
CRAMER: SUPREME COURT AGREES WITH NORTH DAKOTA ON WATERS OF THE UNITED STATES RULING
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the United States Supreme Court unanimously agreed with Judge Erickson’s August 27, 2015 decision, which held Federal District Courts, rather than Appellate Courts, are the proper initial venue for legal challenges against the Waters of the United States Rule (WOTUS). -
