Our direct services for children and families
Around the UK the NSPCC’s local services aim to show the best way to protect children and help them get over the effects of abuse.
How we do it
We aim to make the biggest impact we can through our local projects. The NSPCC will never be big enough to be able to help every child who needs us. But by being innovative and showing others the way forward, we can demonstrate success and help many more children.
Based on evidence, key knowledge and research, we:
- create project to test new ways of helping children
- work with children directly and evaluate their progress
- influence others to provide similar, more long-term services.
To help as many children as effectively as we can, we focus on seven priority groups of children and areas of concern.
