Activists did a banner drop in solidarity with Afrin at the Autonomous center in Wuppertal (AZ Wuppertal) , Germany. At the back side of the autonomous center activists dropped a banner saying: “Biji” Berxwedan Afrin” (Long Live Resistance Afrin). The visitors of the DITIB mosque in Wuppertal will now see the banner everytime they visit the mosque. The DITIB mosques are sponsored by the Turkish erdogan regime.

#Lesvos: Clashes in #Moria after Police Violence
Last night clashes broke out in the Moria refugee camp after cops hit a woman in the camp. On Saturday and Sunday there will be demonstrations across Europe at the second anniversary of the EU Turkey deal. One of the demonstrations will be at Lesvos. In April activists of the Cars of Hope collective will be on Lesvos to support refugees and document the situation.

#Germany: Mass detentions after deportation was successfully prevented in #Donauwörth
In the early morning of March 14, 2018, a deportation was successfully prevented in the Donauwörth reception centre. Afterwards, a large police operation was carried out in the afternoon. Those residents who were in their rooms were locked in, both entrance and exit doors of the reception centre had been locked as well. Room searches and identity checks were carried out. 29 people were arrested.On the one hand, the police operation in the afternoon of 14 March 2018 has been triggered by the deportation, which was prevented in the morning between 3:00 am and 4:00 am, when approximately 100 people left their rooms in the reception centre and demanded that the deportation be stopped. On the other, there a strike against the 80-cent jobs and the German courses in the reception centre has been going on in the last few months. The refugee activists demand the recognition of their asylum claims, or that they may leave Germany if they do not obtain a right to stay.

#Bogota, #Colombia: Riots around Universidad Pedagogica blockade the financial district for four hours
On Tuesday, March 6th, in Bogotá, Colombia, two explosions burst during the quiet of the lessons. In between the fully painted walls of this eternally leftist university, located in the middle of a financial district, the students playing on the sports field turn their heads in all directions. The sound of chattering suddenly vanishes. It is 10:30 AM and the gatekeepers put their backpacks on and immediately leave the scene. Rapidly, a small group of hooded people meets the crowd, without talking. In a kind of dancing manner, without much useless noises, the students peacefully leave the playground and the encapuchadxs progressively take their place. It is quickly possible to count as many as 50 of them, now facing the stone benches.
