List of Surrey County Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Surrey in top-class matches since the club was founded in 1845. The Surrey teams formed by earlier organisations from the early 18th century always had important or first-class status and, therefore, the county club is classified as an important team by substantial sources from 1845 to 1894;[1][2] classified as an official first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;[3] and classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963.[4]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Surrey player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Surrey. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2015 season.[5]
