Since the spring of 2018, the UNDP “Small Towns” project has launched a series of seminars on the basics of entrepreneurship. Trainings are held for those residents of small and medium-sized cities of Viciebsk and Mahilioŭ region who are just thinking or already preparing to start their own business.
According to experts, the process of Belarus' accession to the WTO is going smoothly and dynamically. On February 19, the final conference of the project "Assisting the Government of the Republic of Belarus in Accession to the World Trade Organization through Strengthening National Institutional Capacity and Expertise (Phase 4) was held”.
Representatives of civil society, non-governmental organizations, academia and businesses, international organizations discussed partnership options for achieving the 2030 Agenda at today’s breakfast with Marianna Schetkina, the National Coordinator on Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
The manual has been prepared by a team of experts and published within the framework of the "Small Towns" project. The handbook consists of two parts "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship" and "Legal Issues" and is also supported with additional materials in electronic form (psychological tests, templates of business plan, checklists etc).
On the results of the parliamentary hearing of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus “Partnership of branches of power as a prerequisite for successful implementation of SDGs”, the following recommendations to the state bodies and organizations have been made.

"Belarus has very high chances to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, considering that almost all of the Millennium Development Goals were fulfilled ahead of schedule," said UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha. - Now it is necessary to direct efforts to help the most vulnerable groups of people.
