Social Good Summit
Jamaica's 2017 edition of the Social Good Summit went to the University of Technology with a technology expo and a panel discussion that focused discussions on the Jamaica We Want by 2030. Focusing on the theme, “We can unlock technology’s potential to make Jamaica a better place,” participants came from government, public and private sectors, civil society, academia including university students and other youths.

DOWNLOAD YOUR COPY: A Baseline Assessment of Development Minerals in Jamaica, (including industrial minerals; construction materials; dimension stones; and semi-precious stones) has been completed by the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme. The assessment provides a profile of the sector, including its current contribution to GDP, jobs and the country's social support systems. The report explores the market potential of the sector in Jamaica and also provides recommendations for strengthening the Legal and Policy Framework, Institutional & Technical Operating Context, Environmental, Health & Safety, among other areas.
