Aida, 34, lives in a typical patriarchal family along with her husband, two children and mother-in-law. As soon as you step into her house, the eye catches the Kanun of Lekë Dukagjini- a book with a set of rules written several decades earlier, whereby the woman is owned by the man and belongs only to him.
The New Year could not have come better for the 60 Roma families who entered their new homes on New Year’s Eve. Now they can enjoy the new housing units which will not only improve their lives but also will bring them closer together.
12 municipalities in Albania are selected as partners for implementation of the Regional Programme for Local Democracy in Western Balkans (ReLOaD).
