There are a range of organisations which produce legal resources to help you find out more about the law and your rights.

Victoria Legal Aid

Victoria Legal Aid provides free legal information and education for all Victorians. It also provides advice and legal representation for people with low incomes and those experiencing disadvantage.

Everyday-Law

Everyday-Law provides Victorians with reliable, easy-to-understand legal information to help resolve your legal issue.

You can find answers to common legal questions, find out how to get legal help, and learn how Victoria's legal system works.

Employment Law

There is significant demand for employment law assistance in Victoria.

The Federation of Community Legal Centres (Vic) is unable to offer legal advice for any legal matters including employment law. Our member centre, Jobwatch, can give telephone assistance to Victorian workers about their rights at work.

National Debt Helpline

MoneyHelp is free, confidential and independent financial information for Victorians experiencing difficulty paying their rent or mortgage or facing job loss.

Victims of Crime

The Victims Support Agency within the Department of Justice represents victims of crime and coordinates a whole-of-government approach to services for victims. It funds statewide services to provide counselling and practical assistance to help victims of violent crime recover from the effects of crime.

Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria

The Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria (DSCV) is a free dispute resolution service funded by the Victorian Government. The DSCV provides mediation services, as well as training and accrediting mediators to national standards.

Disaster Legal Help

Disaster Legal Help is a group of legal service organisations who provide free information and support for Victorians affected by disasters. It was originally formed to provide free legal support for those affected by the February 2009 Victorian bushfires and our thoughts remain with those Victorians who lost so much during the bushfires.
