Vasanta (Ritu)

Vasanta (Sanskrit: वसन्तः; Hindi: बसंत; Punjabi: ਬਸੰਤ, ﺑﺴﻨﺖ; Kannada: ವಸಂತ; Telugu: వసంత; Malayalam: വസന്തം, Tamil: வஸந்தம்) also known as Basant, refers to the Indian spring, and ritu means season.

One of the main festivals of the Vasanta season is celebrated on Vasanta Panchami (Sanskrit: वसन्त पञ्चमी) which in Nepali and Indian society is a cultural and religious festival, celebrated annually on the first day of spring, the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month Magh (January–February).

Origin

In Sanskrit Vasanta means spring. Panchami is the fifth day of Shukla Paksha, the fortnight of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of Magh, (January - February). Vasanta Panchami, which marks the end of the winter and heralds in spring, is dedicated to goddess Saraswati. She is a goddess of water and of a river bearing her name. Her water originates in the Himalayas, flows southeast and meets the Ganges at Prayag near its confluence with the Yamuna (Triveni). Saraswati is also a goddess of speech and learning who blesses the world with vach (words), hymns, Sanskrit and the wealth of knowledge. It is auspcious for children to begin school and learn their first word on this day. In the ancient Indian texts, the Vedas, the prayer for Sarasvati depicts her as a pristine lady in a white dress embellished with white flowers and white pearls. She sits on a white lotus blooming in a wide stretch of water (neluhini). She holds a veena, a string instrument similar to a sitar. No animal is sacrifices and Indians have a vegetarian meal. Saraswati's prayer concludes,

Basant Kite Festival (Punjab)

The Basant Kite Festival is a seasonal festival of the Punjab region. It falls on Basant, also called Basant Panchami Punjabi: ਬਸੰਤ ਪੰਚਮੀ; Urdu: بسنت پنچمی; Hindi: बसन्त पञ्चमी) and Vasant Panchami). According to the Punjabi calendar it is held on the fifth day of lunar month of Magha (in late January or early February) marking the start of spring.

Spring time

In North India, and in the Punjab province of Pakistan, Basant is considered to be a seasonal festival and is celebrated as a spring festival of kites by people of all faiths. The festival marks the commencement of the spring season. The festival is summed up in the phrase, Ayi Basant Pala Udant (here comes spring, the cold will disappear). Being seen as a seasonal festival, Punjabis of all faiths have traditionally celebrated Basant.

Basant Kite Festival

In many parts of India, Basant is observed as a secular holiday, with no celebration attached to it. However, in the Punjab region (including the Punjab province of Pakistan), Basant is celebrated with much gusto and Basant has a distinctive feature. There is a long established tradition of flying kites and holding fairs.

Rawalpindi (Punjabi, Urdu: راولپنڈى‎, Rāwalpiṅḋī), commonly known as Pindi (Punjabi: پنڈی), is a city in the Punjab, Pakistan. It is the 4th most populous metropolitan area of Pakistan. The center of the Rawalpindi is only 14 kilometres (9 mi) from the center of Islamabad. Its location is very central as it has capital to its north, Punjab to its south, KPK Province to its west and Azad Kashmir to its east. For this reason the tourists use the city as a stop before traveling towards the northern areas. Rawalpindi is easy accessible as several highways come into the city including National Highway (G.T Road) and Motorway. Numerous shopping bazaars, parks and a cosmopolitan population attract shoppers from all over Pakistan and abroad. The city is home to several industries and factories. Islamabad International Airport is actually located in Rawalpindi city, and serves both cities and several neighboring districts for international flights. Moreover, part of the facility is also the famous Chaklala Airbase (PAF Base Nur Khan)

His car will then taken over by Jwar's goons for losses incurred, but Sundar and Basant will assist him in locating it's whereabouts. Soon an enraged Jwar will accuse him of stealing the car and ask him to re-pay the debt - leaving him to ponder who would have stolen the car from Jwar's property.

In this process he falls in love with her, but is committed to the children more than ever before, and Sheetal is determined to win back Ravi at any cost.
