Call for Abstracts
The call for abstracts is now closed
The 2017 National CLCs conference will proudly showcase the fundamental contribution that CLCs make to communities across Australia. Presentations will highlight the sector’s resilience and resourcefulness in the face of adversity and discuss the potential to narrow the gap in access to justice for all.
We are looking for presentations that fall within one of the following streams:
Resilience
Demonstrating different approaches to building the resilience of staff, volunteers, clients and communities
Resourcefulness
Showcasing innovative approaches to maximising client and community outcomes with available resources
Reconciliation
Affirming and demonstrating the CLC sector’s commitment and contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander reconciliation
Addressing systemic inequality
Demonstrating how the CLC sector responds to and addresses systemic inequality by providing access to justice for all
Advice as to programming decisions will be sent by email to submitters by late May 2017. The successful applicants will also be sent further information on what is required.
Finally, please note that only abstracts submitted online will be considered.
How to submit
This online form includes two text boxes to be completed
- Abstract – up to 80 words (560 characters including spaces). This is the text that will appear in the Conference program, so please write this with the Conference audience in mind, and remember they are not all lawyers, and not all Community Legal Centre workers. It also helps peoples attendance choices if it is clear and interesting. It must include an 'outcome' - what will attendees learn from your presentation?
- Supporting Information – up to 100 words (730 characters including spaces). This information assists the Conference programming group when considering and assessing proposals. It will not appear in the program.
Having your paper accepted does not confer free Conference registration – you will still need to register and pay.
Confirmation of receipt of abstract
You should receive an immediate acknowledgement of submission by email upon completing your submission. If not, please contact Julie Jerbic at naclc@conferenceonline.com.au or telephone 07 5580 8677.
