Ottawa duo Deathsticks premieres their new video for “Finger Food”

Ottawa-via-Peterborough noise-punk duo Deathsticks premiered their new video for the song "Finger Food" today at Some Party. It's the first single from their upcoming four song 7" EP Deathsnacks, which is due out on April 27. Drummer / co-vocalist Laura Klinduch commented that "The song is about feeling insecure or inadequate about your place as an artist in the larger Canadian music community," adding that "No vinyl records were harmed in the making of this video." "Blood Brother" finds singer Luisa Black dropping her gauzy voice over a hazy, shoe-gaze ambiance. Surf guitars pierce through the weightless mass of the tune resulting in slight homages t oMy Bloody Valentine, The Pixies, and even the gritty rumble of The Sonics.
