Chester (/ˈtʃɛstər/ CHESS-tər) is a walled city in Cheshire, England. Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, it is the largest and most populous settlement of the unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester, which had a combined population of 328,100 according to the 2001 Census, increasing to 329,608 at the 2011 Census. Chester was granted city status in 1541.

Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix, during the reign of the Emperor Vespasian in AD79. One of the three main army camps in the Roman province of Britannia, Deva later became a major civilian settlement. In 689, King Æthelred of Mercia founded the Minster Church of West Mercia, which later became Chester's first cathedral, and the Saxons extended and strengthened the walls, much of which remain, to protect the city against the Danes. Chester was one of the last cities in England to fall to the Normans. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border.

Tiffany Lynn Alvord (born December 11, 1992) is an American singer and songwriter. She has been cited as one of YouTube's first "home-grown celebrities". She has a large social presence on YouTube with over 500 million video views and over 2.7 million subscribers, making her channel among the top 50 most subscribed music channels on YouTube. Alvord also has a strong following on social media sites including more than 2.5 million Facebook fans and over 350 thousand Twitter followers. In December 2012, Alvord performed in Times Square on the Nivea stage with Carly Rae Jepsen, Train, PSY and Taylor Swift as part of the 2012 New Year's Eve celebration.

Biography

Alvord was born December 11, 1992, in California, the daughter of Cherie Alvord, who works as her manager. She is the second youngest of seven siblings, having six brothers. When in elementary school, Alvord learned to play the piano and wrote her first songs by age ten. At 14, Alvord learned to play the guitar, her second instrument. The following year, in April 2008, at 15, she published her first song on YouTube. Alvord is a member of the LDS Church.

Chester See

Chester See is an American YouTube personality, singer and actor of mixed Filipino descent. He's best known for his YouTube videos which have a total of over 175 million views. See appeared as Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages on Broadway from October 2014 through January 2015.

Career

In 2006 See hosted Disney 365, an entertainment news program on the Disney Channel, which ran until 2009.

See started his ChesterSee YouTube channel in 2007 after having some success writing lyrics for Warner/Chappell. The channel primarily consists of comedy sketches, short films and cover songs. He is part of the Maker Studios multi-channel network. In 2012 See, alongside YouTubers Ryan Higa and Kevin Wu, also film director Justin Lin, started the YOMYOMF YouTube channel. The channel released an internet-only reality TV talent show called Internet Icon later that year; See hosted the first season. Later in the year, See was a contestant on season 2 of D-trix's Dance Showdown.

In 2013 See was the executive producer for online-only NBC produced musical comedy series Side Effects; he also starred as Keith in four episodes. The following year See was cast as Jeff Sanford in the comedy film Camp Takota, in a supporting role alongside Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart. See starred as Stacee Jaxx in a Broadway production of Rock of Ages from October 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. See will appear in a Relativity Digital and FilmOn feature film, Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin, due for release in January 2015.

"Beneath Your Beautiful" is a song by British musicians Labrinth and Emeli Sandé. Written by Labrinth, Mike Posner and Sandé, it was released as the sixth single from Labrinth's debut album, Electronic Earth, on 18 October 2012. The track peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart, selling 108,000 copies off the back of a particularly well-revered performance on The X Factor, becoming Labrinth's first number one single as a solo artist. Additionally, it became his first Top 40 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 34.

The song was nominated for 'Best British Single' at the 2013 BRIT Awards, and was ranked the twelfth Best Selling Single of 2012 in the UK.

Background and release

"Beneath Your Beautiful" is an R&B ballad written by Labrinth, Mike Posner and Emeli Sandé. It was recorded as a duet between Labrinth and Sandé for Labrinth's debut studio album Electronic Earth. The title of the song attracted attention from fans, some of whom questioned Labrinth about the spelling of the word "Your" within the song's title, believing that was a grammatical error and should have been spelt "You're". Upon reaching number one, fans asked Labrinth via social networking website Twitter about the spelling. He replied "Can I make something clear! this is twitter! Not an English GCSE haha I’ll spell as BADLY as I wish awritemayte!... Oh is this about #Beneath”YOUR”Beautiful I love how crazy this has sent people…. It was to annoy English teachers and grammar Nazis." [sic] The song was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Single at the 2013 BRIT Awards.

You're Beautiful

"You're Beautiful" is a song co-written by British singer James Blunt, Sacha Skarbek, and Amanda Ghost for Blunt's debut album, Back to Bedlam (2004). It was released as the third single from the album in 2005.

In the United Kingdom and Australia, the song reached number one and number two respectively. When released as the debut single from Back to Bedlam in Canada and the United States, it reached number one on both charts and received widespread airplay. In 2006, the song won an Ivor Novello Award for airplay. The song has sold 625,000 copies in the United Kingdom as stated by the Official Charts Company, and by October 2012 over 3 million in the United States. It remains Blunt's biggest hit single in the United States to date, and his only one to reach the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, a new version of the single was issued in Japan. The Q;indivi+ Remix, featuring Japanese performer Keri, was issued on 28 March 2012.
