Sonic Adventure

Sonic Adventure (ソニックアドベンチャー, Sonikku Adobenchā) is a platform video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It was originally released for the Dreamcast as a launch title in Japan in 1998, and worldwide in 1999. It was the first game in the main Sonic the Hedgehog series since Sonic & Knuckles was released in 1994.

After series villain Doctor Eggman releases an ancient monster, protagonist Sonic the Hedgehog vows to stop him collecting the Chaos Emeralds. The other playable characters are flying fox Miles "Tails" Prower, love interest Amy Rose, Knuckles the Echidna, who plans to reassemble the Master Emerald, angler Big the Cat, and E-102 Gamma, one of Eggman's robots.

Sonic Adventure received generally positive reviews for its graphics, gameplay, and soundtrack. It became the best-selling Dreamcast game. A sequel, Sonic Adventure 2, was released in 2001 for the Dreamcast. Enhanced ports of the game were released in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft Windows. It has since been re-released as a downloadable game for Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network in 2010. It is also included in the Dreamcast Collection for the Xbox 360.

Chester (/ˈtʃɛstər/ CHESS-tər) is a walled city in Cheshire, England. Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, it is the largest and most populous settlement of the unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester, which had a combined population of 328,100 according to the 2001 Census, increasing to 329,608 at the 2011 Census. Chester was granted city status in 1541.

Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix, during the reign of the Emperor Vespasian in AD79. One of the three main army camps in the Roman province of Britannia, Deva later became a major civilian settlement. In 689, King Æthelred of Mercia founded the Minster Church of West Mercia, which later became Chester's first cathedral, and the Saxons extended and strengthened the walls, much of which remain, to protect the city against the Danes. Chester was one of the last cities in England to fall to the Normans. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border.

Chester See

Chester See is an American YouTube personality, singer and actor of mixed Filipino descent. He's best known for his YouTube videos which have a total of over 175 million views. See appeared as Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages on Broadway from October 2014 through January 2015.

Career

In 2006 See hosted Disney 365, an entertainment news program on the Disney Channel, which ran until 2009.

See started his ChesterSee YouTube channel in 2007 after having some success writing lyrics for Warner/Chappell. The channel primarily consists of comedy sketches, short films and cover songs. He is part of the Maker Studios multi-channel network. In 2012 See, alongside YouTubers Ryan Higa and Kevin Wu, also film director Justin Lin, started the YOMYOMF YouTube channel. The channel released an internet-only reality TV talent show called Internet Icon later that year; See hosted the first season. Later in the year, See was a contestant on season 2 of D-trix's Dance Showdown.

In 2013 See was the executive producer for online-only NBC produced musical comedy series Side Effects; he also starred as Keith in four episodes. The following year See was cast as Jeff Sanford in the comedy film Camp Takota, in a supporting role alongside Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart. See starred as Stacee Jaxx in a Broadway production of Rock of Ages from October 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. See will appear in a Relativity Digital and FilmOn feature film, Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin, due for release in January 2015.

Katy Perry

Katheryn Elizabeth "Katy" Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations. After being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, Perry signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl" – which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes – and "Hot n Cold" from her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". The album became the first by a female artist to produce five number-one Billboard Hot 100 songs, and the second overall after Michael Jackson's album Bad. In March 2012, she reissued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake".

God Damn (band)

God Damn are a heavy rock band from Wolverhampton, England.

Career

The band formed in 2010 and were originally a three-piece, until the third member suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident; they are now performing as a duo. They signed to One Little Indian Records in 2014, and released an album named Vultures. Their sound combines 1970s hard rock with 1980s and 1990s grunge, among other influences.

The band has toured extensively, playing alongside groups such as Funeral For a Friend, Eagulls, The Wytches and Foo Fighters. They have appeared at Reading and Leeds Festivals and at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Reception

Paul Lester wrote in The Guardian:

The Vultures album was described as being "capable of igniting a spark in your gut that’ll burn until there’s nothing left" by Line Of Best Fit.

Brum Notes Magazine described God Damn as being "colossal, monumental and gut-wrenchingly furious – Wolverhampton's God Damn make more noise with two people than most bands could manage with 20".
