Purism

A European movement founded by Amédée Ozenfant and Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (later known as Le Corbusier) after World War I that sought to purify Cubism from what Ozenfant and Jeanneret saw as its often arbitrary and fantastic forms. Instead, they emphasized clarity, elemental forms, and subdued colors.
