Woke up about 7:15 by the lack of water. Woke up kalí (our dog) and went out for a coffee. We had breakfast at the refuge of Spilios Agapitos and after then we took the path to reach Skala, one of the tops of Mount Olympus.
Followed the E4 path up to Skala, a path of climbing in medium to hard level for 2 hours. Took us a bit longer because all the hikers that were passing by, had to greet our dog.
As we reached Skala I went directly to climb Mitikas, the tallest peak of Mount Olympus. Heading down from Skala proved a bit trickier than in though as I lost my path. Nevertheless when I though I had found my way to climb Mitikas I realized I was wrong.
I started to flow some yellow dots with blue inside until the started to become yellow with green. I imagined, and there I was wrong, that the sun and weather conditions had turn the blue go green. That mistake lead me to climb Stefani, another peak, a bit lower in altitude, but much steeper, dangerous and deadlier. I went up without any knowledge of this, still believing I would reach Mitikas.
After about 300m+ climbing on steep rock, was that I started to realize that Mitikas was only on my left. Nevertheless I went up to explore. Later would I know that this was extremely dangerous and I needed equipment. The view was gorgeous and I could get some nice shots of the back of Mitikas. Just to explain it was the time of my life when I say; "Things for serious, turn off the action cam and focus". I knew the risk then. I went higher to the last peek of Stefani.
Stefani is at 2909m and is called the Throne of Zeus. Well the name justifies it.
Going back was not easy as well but me being 62kg and well trained made that easier and much quicker than going up.
After i was down, I started seeing the blue dots again. Then I realized that they led to Mitikas. Yes. I was totally now thinking going up to Mitikas. And there I was after 30 mins or less.
At the top of Mount Olympus. 2919m higher than the see level you could see the whole Greece if you had great eyes. The view was breathtaking.
Signed the guestbook and went off because I had not time as I was 40 mins late and we had to go down as well with final destination Plaka Olimpios Zeus camping to chill.

I am now a proud owner of Olympus cameras and lenses and I am enjoying everything that the micro four-thirds format has to offer. I have made the switch from Nikon and my full frame and APS-C camera bodies to the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera bodies and Zuiko Pro lenses.
This video is the story of why I switched to Olympus.
My new Olympus camera system includes 2 OM-D E-M1 Mark II bodies which are 20.4 megapixel cameras.
I have three zoom lenses and four primes. The zooms are all Zuiko Pro Series lenses - the 7-14mm f/2.8 wide angle, the 12-40mm f/2.8 and the 40-150mm f/2.8
And if you are wondering about the 35mm equivalents of these lenses - just double the numbers - the 7-14 is the equivalent of a 14-28mm full frame lens. The 12-40 is equivalent to a 24-80mm full frame lens and the 40-150mm is equivalent to an 80-300mm full frame lens.
My new kit also includes four Olympus Zuiko rime lenses… the new 25mm f1.2 Pro lens and the just released 45mm f/1.2 Pro lens with its feathered bokeh. I also have a 30mm f/3.5 macro lens and a 300mm f/4 Pro lens which is a 600mm equivalent and great for shooting sports - if I add the 1.4 teleconverter this becomes an 840mm equivalent lens.
Olympus is the company that developed the four-thirds standard and then later paired with Panasonic to share technology and the micro four-thirds standard evolved. The consortium formed by these two companies now includes companies like Zeiss, BlackMagic Design, Fujifilm, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Schneider, Iowa and a bunch of others - all with the goal of producing cameras and lenses that conform to the four-thirds standard.
Why now - at this point in my career after using Nikon for so long and right before they are hopefully gonna come out with a mirrorless camera???
I did it because for the last two years while I have been making these YouTube videos and traveling the country teaching and talking with photographers of all different skill levels from all around the world - my head has been filled with the anxiety from photographers worrying about Full Frame Is Better - More Mega Pixels are Better - More Dynamic Range is Better - Sony is Better - Nikon is Better - Canon is better. I hear this stuff day in and day out in the very next sentence I hear the complaints about the cost of equipment and size and weight all the while these same photographers are struggling to improve their craft.
The only helpful advice that I can offer to these folks is to ignore what everybody else is doing and remember why they picked up their very first camera. 99 percent of the time - it was NOT because they cared about how somebody else took pictures or about megapixels or dynamic range or any of that stuff.
I remind them when they first picked up a camera it was FUN and that's why they picked it up again and again and got hooked. The more I tried to persuade photographers to get back to having fun - mainly because it's easier to learn and improve when you are having fun - the more I realized I was making the same mistake. My advantage though was that I did the bulk of my learning long before we had megapixels to worry about or an internet full of photographers to compare myself to. When I learned photography the focus wasn't on gear - sure you wanted to have the right gear for the job - but you also had to learn to solve problems. You focused on the image that was in front of your camera.
So in short - I decided to take my own advice.
before some of you start getting defensive about your full frame cameras or APS-c cameras - please note - I have not said it's wrong to use them or that you should switch. I am just telling you why I switched, because I've had literally hundreds of people ask for an explanation on the various social media platforms where I share my photos. So please don't accuse me of saying one brand is better than another. I am just telling you what is best for me.

As of yesterday, I have been writing and publishing music to YouTube for 3 years and 1 day (I fudged up, thought today was the 16th haha). Woah. On one hand that seems like a surprisingly small amount of time, haven't I been doing this my whole life? On the other hand, it feels like surely it hasn't been a full 1,096 days since I uploaded that first mish mash of noises. Regardless, that is precisely how long it has been, so I want to thank all the people who have stuck with me for any period of that time, whether that be the last 24 hours or the full 3 years (plus one day). The inception of this channel was quite a trivial decision, but it has had a shockingly significant impact on the trajectory of my life. I've just graduated from high school, and frankly, I have no clue what I'd be doing at this moment if the support from this channel had not spurred on the curiosity and passion I had for music. I haven't done anything 'epic' in a longtime, but given this milestone, and the fact that the genre really got me started in music, I figured a track like this was due. As always, I hope you enjoy :)

I am now a proud owner of Olympus cameras and lenses and I am enjoying everything that the micro four-thirds format has to offer. I have made the switch from Nikon and my full frame and APS-C camera bodies to the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera bodies and Zuiko Pro lenses. This video is the story of why I switched to Olympus. My new Olympus camera system includes 2 OM-D E-M1 Mark II bodies which are 20.4 megapixel cameras. I have three zoom lenses and four primes. The zooms are all Zuiko Pro Series lenses - the 7-14mm f/2.8 wide angle, the 12-40mm f/2.8 and the 40-150mm f/2.8 And if you are wondering about the 35mm equivalents of these lenses - just double the numbers - the 7-14 is the equivalent of a 14-28mm full frame lens. The 12-40 is equivalent to a 24-80mm full frame lens and the 40-150mm is equivalent to an 80-300mm full frame lens. My new kit also includes four Olympus Zuiko rime lenses… the new 25mm f1.2 Pro lens and the just released 45mm f/1.2 Pro lens with its feathered bokeh. I also have a 30mm f/3.5 macro lens and a 300mm f/4 Pro lens which is a 600mm equivalent and great for shooting sports - if I add the 1.4 teleconverter this becomes an 840mm equivalent lens. Olympus is the company that developed the four-thirds standard and then later paired with Panasonic to share technology and the micro four-thirds standard evolved. The consortium formed by these two companies now includes companies like Zeiss, BlackMagic Design, Fujifilm, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Schneider, Iowa and a bunch of others - all with the goal of producing cameras and lenses that conform to the four-thirds standard. Why now - at this point in my career after using Nikon for so long and right before they are hopefully gonna come out with a mirrorless camera??? I did it because for the last two years while I have been making these YouTube videos and traveling the country teaching and talking with photographers of all different skill levels from all around the world - my head has been filled with the anxiety from photographers worrying about Full Frame Is Better - More Mega Pixels are Better - More Dynamic Range is Better - Sony is Better - Nikon is Better - Canon is better. I hear this stuff day in and day out in the very next sentence I hear the complaints about the cost of equipment and size and weight all the while these same photographers are struggling to improve their craft. The only helpful advice that I can offer to these folks is to ignore what everybody else is doing and remember why they picked up their very first camera. 99 percent of the time - it was NOT because they cared about how somebody else took pictures or about megapixels or dynamic range or any of that stuff. I remind them when they first picked up a camera it was FUN and that's why they picked it up again and again and got hooked. The more I tried to persuade photographers to get back to having fun - mainly because it's easier to learn and improve when you are having fun - the more I realized I was making the same mistake. My advantage though was that I did the bulk of my learning long before we had megapixels to worry about or an internet full of photographers to compare myself to. When I learned photography the focus wasn't on gear - sure you wanted to have the right gear for the job - but you also had to learn to solve problems. You focused on the image that was in front of your camera. So in short - I decided to take my own advice. before some of you start getting defensive about your full frame cameras or APS-c cameras - please note - I have not said it's wrong to use them or that you should switch. I am just telling you why I switched, because I've had literally hundreds of people ask for an explanation on the various social media platforms where I share my photos. So please don't accuse me of saying one brand is better than another. I am just telling you what is best for me. In this DIY Photography video, I am going to show you how to create DIY portrait backgrounds by painting with light using the Olympus live composite feature or by working in Bulb Mode. This light painting tutorial will walk you through the live composite mode of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and how to create these cool portrait backgrounds in real time, in-camera. In Live Composite mode the Olympus camera shoots a series of images continuously using the same exposure time. All the images are combined together into a single composite, in camera. The first image is used to record the ambient light. After the first exposure, only the brighter pixels in any following images are used. If nothing becomes brighter in the scene, nothing changes in the picture. I can see that confused look on your face - so let me walk you through the steps. I have my E-M1 Mark II and the M. Zuiko 45mm f/1.2 PRO lens mounted on a tripod. To make the process even easier, I'm working tethered to my laptop using a TetherPro cable from Tether Tools and the Olympus Capture software. This allows me to set the computer up behind my subject like you see here and then control the camera and watch the image build as I am moving the lights around. To set the camera up in LIVE COMPOSITE mode you must work in Manual exposure. So before I enter LIVE COMPOSITE Mode, I will decide on the aperture that I want to work at and select a shutter speed ranging from half a second to 60 seconds. For my studio portraits I use the camera’s base ISO of 200. Next, by dialing the shutter speed all the way down past 60 seconds I will find the LIVE COMPOSITE setting and by clicking the menu button at this point I can tell the camera what exposure duration I want to work with. Woke up about 7:15 by the lack of water. Woke up kalí (our dog) and went out for a coffee. We had breakfast at the refuge of Spilios Agapitos and after then we took the path to reach Skala, one of the tops of Mount Olympus. Followed the E4 path up to Skala, a path of climbing in medium to hard level for 2 hours. Took us a bit longer because all the hikers that were passing by, had to greet our dog. As we reached Skala I went directly to climb Mitikas, the tallest peak of Mount Olympus. Heading down from Skala proved a bit trickier than in though as I lost my path. As we reached Skala I went directly to climb Mitikas, the tallest peak of Mount Olympus. Heading down from Skala proved a bit trickier than in though as I lost my path. Nevertheless when I though I had found my way to climb Mitikas I realized I was wrong.
I started to flow some yellow dots with blue inside until the started to become yellow with green. I imagined, and there I was wrong, that the sun and weather conditions had turn the blue go green. That mistake lead me to climb Stefani, another peak, a bit lower in altitude, but much steeper, dangerous and deadlier. I went up without any knowledge of this, still believing I would reach Mitikas.
After about 300m+ climbing on steep rock, was that I started to realize that Mitikas was only on my left. Nevertheless I went up to explore. Later would I know that this was extremely dangerous and I needed equipment. The view was gorgeous and I could get some nice shots of the back of Mitikas. Just to explain it was the time of my life when I say; "Things for serious, turn off the action cam and focus". I knew the risk then. I went higher to the last peek of Stefani.
Stefani is at 2909m and is called the Throne of Zeus. Well the name justifies it.
Going back was not easy as well but me being 62kg and well trained made that easier and much quicker than going up.
After i was down, I started seeing the blue dots again. Then I realized that they led to Mitikas. Yes. I was totally now thinking going up to Mitikas. And there I was after 30 mins or less.
At the top of Mount Olympus. 2919m higher than the see level you could see the whole Greece if you had great eyes. The view was breathtaking.
Signed the guestbook and went off because I had not time as I was 40 mins late and we had to go down as well with final destination Plaka Olimpios Zeus camping to chill.

Deep Down & Defected is the series that explores the deeper house sounds of dancefloors around the world. Volume 7 is helmed by Dutch master craftsman Franky Rizardo, and this latest edition features cuts from the likes of Ninetoes, Deetron, Riva Starr and Audiojack, as well as a number of exclusive re-edits and remixes from Rizardo himself.
Over the last few years, Franky Rizardo has taken a hugely refreshing approach to house music which has been paying dividends in a big way. Having established himself as one of the biggest draws in Holland’s house music circuit, he’s now rapidly expanding his horizons across the world. Releases on OFF, Defected and Spinnin’ demonstrate an increasingly strong production career, while his Flow radio show and events are fast becoming a major part of the house music landscape across the world.
“With the Deep Down & Defected album I wanted to make my own edits and chose tracks and remixes for this album that are as diverse as possible” says Rizardo of the selection process. “I wanted to showcase all the genres within house music that are possible.” Included are a number of brand new cuts from Rizardo, including ‘Troubleman’ and ‘Enzyme’, as well as a previously unreleased record ‘Olympus’, all of which demonstrate his innate ability to switch pace from one track to the next. Also included are three brand new edits made especially for the release, in which Rizardo takes on tracks from Sandy Rivera, Pete Tong and Copyright with predictably explosive results.

I am now a proud owner of Olympus cameras and lenses and I am enjoying everything that the micro four-thirds format has to offer. I have made the switch from Nikon and my full frame and APS-C camera bodies to the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera bodies and Zuiko Pro lenses.
This video is the story of why I switched to Olympus.
My new Olympus camera system includes 2 OM-D E-M1 Mark II bodies which are 20.4 megapixel cameras.
I have three zoom lenses and four primes. The zooms are all Zuiko Pro Series lenses - the 7-14mm f/2.8 wide angle, the 12-40mm f/2.8 and the 40-150mm f/2.8
And if you are wondering about the 35mm equivalents of these lenses - just double the numbers - the 7-14 is the equivalent of a 14-28mm full frame lens. The 12-40 is equivalent to a 24-80mm full frame lens and the 40-150mm is equivalent to an 80-300mm full frame lens.
My new kit also includes four Olympus Zuiko rime lenses… the new 25mm f1.2 Pro lens and the just released 45mm f/1.2 Pro lens with its feathered bokeh. I also have a 30mm f/3.5 macro lens and a 300mm f/4 Pro lens which is a 600mm equivalent and great for shooting sports - if I add the 1.4 teleconverter this becomes an 840mm equivalent lens.
Olympus is the company that developed the four-thirds standard and then later paired with Panasonic to share technology and the micro four-thirds standard evolved. The consortium formed by these two companies now includes companies like Zeiss, BlackMagic Design, Fujifilm, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Schneider, Iowa and a bunch of others - all with the goal of producing cameras and lenses that conform to the four-thirds standard.
Why now - at this point in my career after using Nikon for so long and right before they are hopefully gonna come out with a mirrorless camera???
I did it because for the last two years while I have been making these YouTube videos and traveling the country teaching and talking with photographers of all different skill levels from all around the world - my head has been filled with the anxiety from photographers worrying about Full Frame Is Better - More Mega Pixels are Better - More Dynamic Range is Better - Sony is Better - Nikon is Better - Canon is better. I hear this stuff day in and day out in the very next sentence I hear the complaints about the cost of equipment and size and weight all the while these same photographers are struggling to improve their craft.
The only helpful advice that I can offer to these folks is to ignore what everybody else is doing and remember why they picked up their very first camera. 99 percent of the time - it was NOT because they cared about how somebody else took pictures or about megapixels or dynamic range or any of that stuff.
I remind them when they first picked up a camera it was FUN and that's why they picked it up again and again and got hooked. The more I tried to persuade photographers to get back to having fun - mainly because it's easier to learn and improve when you are having fun - the more I realized I was making the same mistake. My advantage though was that I did the bulk of my learning long before we had megapixels to worry about or an internet full of photographers to compare myself to. When I learned photography the focus wasn't on gear - sure you wanted to have the right gear for the job - but you also had to learn to solve problems. You focused on the image that was in front of your camera.
So in short - I decided to take my own advice.
before some of you start getting defensive about your full frame cameras or APS-c cameras - please note - I have not said it's wrong to use them or that you should switch. I am just telling you why I switched, because I've had literally hundreds of people ask for an explanation on the various social media platforms where I share my photos. So please don't accuse me of saying one brand is better than another. I am just telling you what is best for me.

As of yesterday, I have been writing and publishing music to YouTube for 3 years and 1 day (I fudged up, thought today was the 16th haha). Woah. On one hand that seems like a surprisingly small amount of time, haven't I been doing this my whole life? On the other hand, it feels like surely it hasn't been a full 1,096 days since I uploaded that first mish mash of noises. Regardless, that is precisely how long it has been, so I want to thank all the people who have stuck with me for any period of that time, whether that be the last 24 hours or the full 3 years (plus one day). The inception of this channel was quite a trivial decision, but it has had a shockingly significant impact on the trajectory of my life. I've just graduated from high school, and frankly, I have no clue what I'd be doing at this moment if the support from this channel had not spurred on the curiosity and passion I had for music. I haven't done anything 'epic' in a longtime, but given this milestone, and the fact that the genre really got me started in music, I figured a track like this was due. As always, I hope you enjoy :)

A: I used FL Studio with the Native Instruments plug-ins Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs, and Stormdrum for this track.
Q: How do you do that light bar thingy?

In this DIY Photography video, I am going to show you how to create DIY portrait backgrounds by painting with light using the Olympus live composite feature or by working in Bulb Mode.
This light painting tutorial will walk you through the live composite mode of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and how to create these cool portrait backgrounds in real time, in-camera. In Live Composite mode the Olympus camera shoots a series of images continuously using the same exposure time. All the images are combined together into a single composite, in camera. The first image is used to record the ambient light. After the first exposure, only the brighter pixels in any following images are used. If nothing becomes brighter in the scene, nothing changes in the picture.
I can see that confused look on your face - so let me walk you through the steps. I have my E-M1 Mark II and the M. Zuiko 45mm f/1.2 PRO lens mounted on a tripod. To make the process even easier, I'm working tethered to my laptop using a TetherPro cable from Tether Tools and the Olympus Capture software. This allows me to set the computer up behind my subject like you see here and then control the camera and watch the image build as I am moving the lights around.
To set the camera up in LIVE COMPOSITE mode you must work in Manual exposure. So before I enter LIVE COMPOSITE Mode, I will decide on the aperture that I want to work at and select a shutter speed ranging from half a second to 60 seconds. For my studio portraits I use the camera’s base ISO of 200.
Next, by dialing the shutter speed all the way down past 60 seconds I will find the LIVE COMPOSITE setting and by clicking the menu button at this point I can tell the camera what exposure duration I want to work with.

Yup, here it is! It's a short 1 minute clip of me trying (and for that, I apologise in advance for the iffyness in my singing huhu) to sing Rixton's Me & My Broken Heart. For a recorder that was stuck in my handbag the whole time, it recorded rather well. I borrowed a friend's recorder once and I could hardly make out what I was singing - it was extremely muffled! Top Gun was such an excellent movie as was this love song by Berlin, The Shadows played a great instrumental version on the Simply Shadows album & this is my attempt to cover their version. For a recorder that was stuck in my handbag the whole time, it recorded rather well. I borrowed a friend's recorder once and I could hardly make out what I was singing - it was extremely muffled! Not with this Sony tho ;)
