    This type of is all too common. Busy crossing. Driver parks in crosswalk made 6 children & families forced to go around. No tickets ever.

    Another NYer injured by an out-of-control driver. , streets are for cars and sidewalks and stores are for people. Bring design standards to every street.

    Lets not forget who appointed to PWIC & refused to appoint any ‘downtown’ Councillors - who, along with his chair has talked about but twice refused to provide adequate funding for it

    We will be at 4700 Whitaker Avenue tomorrow morning at 11am to hold a memorial for the pedestrian struck and killed by a driver. The name of the victim has not been released.

    My heart sunk when driving westbound along 42nd Ave SE (minutes ago): I saw A WHEELCHAIR USER WHO COULDN’T USE SIDEWALK SO WAS WHEELING DOWN A DRIVING LANE!!! Holy shit , get your priorities straight.

  19. Today I met with New Yorkers who have lost loved ones in traffic crashes. They are now advocating for street improvements that will prevent other loved ones from enduring injury or harm. I’m deeply inspired by their bravery as they channel their grief into action.

    Thx for pointing out deficiencies; don’t get hurt. As an engineer I can’t get my head around those who have pledged to uphold public safety, then sign off on these designs, are informed that they are dangerous, and then do nothing about it!?

    At UofT panel, asks if Toronto is talking about . Calls it the least ambitious idea imaginable - that we just don’t want people to die on our streets. Need to want more for sharing these public places
