Police swarm Bull Creek after 'attempted' bank robbery

Police are at the scene of an attempted robbery at a bank in Bull Creek.

The attempted hold up occurred at the ANZ Bull Creek branch just after 3pm.

Detectives have swarmed the area.

Police confirmed alarms had been activated at the bank.

The latest information from police is that a weapon was implied by an offender but wasn't seen by staff.

Police are patrolling the area.

Witness Deb Kennedy told 6PR Perth Live the bank had been sealed off.

"There are a number of police officers and detectives taking statements from what appear to be bank staff," she said.

An ANZ media spokesman told WAtoday  the incident was an 'attempted robbery' and no staff or customers had been injured.

The spokesman said the attempted robbery appeared at this stage to be unsuccessful.
