Jon Scott

Jonathan Arthur “Jon” Scott (born November 7, 1958) is an American television news anchor who co-hosts Happening Now from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET with Jenna Lee on Fox News Channel as well as Fox News Watch.

Personal life and education

Jon Scott was born in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from Denver Lutheran High School. He studied journalism at the University of Missouri–Columbia. He is also a licensed pilot, rated to fly single-engine airplanes, and sometimes uses his expertise when covering aviation stories, such as the July 6, 2013, crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214.

Scott has four children. One son is in the Army after graduating from West Point in 2011. His older brother was an infantryman in the Vietnam War.

Broadcasting career

Scott began his career as a correspondent for KOMU-TV (NBC) in Columbia, Missouri, a station owned and operated by Mizzou. Later, he was the weekday evening news anchor, weekend co-anchor, and reporter for WPLG-TV (ABC) in Miami. He also worked as a reporter and bureau chief for KUSA-TV (NBC) in Denver. Beginning in 1988, Scott was a reporter for the syndicated news program Inside Edition.

New Adventures

New Adventures is a British dance company, specialising in contemporary dance. Founded by the choreographer Matthew Bourne in 2002, the company developed from an earlier company Adventures in Motion Pictures, which was later dissolved.

Adventures in Motion Pictures

Matthew Bourne was the artistic director of his first company, Adventures in Motion Pictures, from 1987 until 2002. During those 15 years AMP became the UK's most innovative and popular dance/theatre company, creating an enormous new audience for dance with its groundbreaking work both at home and internationally (works include: Spitfire, The Infernal Galop, Town and Country, Deadly Serious, Nutcracker!, Highland Fling, Edward Scissorhands, Swan Lake, Cinderella and The Car Man).

New Adventures

In 2002 Bourne launched his latest company, New Adventures, with two highly successful productions. Play Without Words premiered as part of the National Theatre's Transformations Season and went on to win Best Entertainment and Choreography at that year's Olivier Awards. It then embarked on a World Tour and premiered in New York, Los Angeles and Moscow in 2005. Bourne's revised Nutcracker! also premiered at Sadler's Wells in 2002 and became an instant popular hit with audiences and critics, returning the following year for a second sell-out season. It became the first ballet to be screened by BBC1 in over 20 years and then also embarked on a world tour.

The Only

"The Only" is the first single from the industrial metal band's Static-X's third album, Shadow Zone.

The song is featured in Need for Speed: Underground, and on the PC version of the game True Crime: Streets of LA, and in the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards as a background music for an announcer's speech. In Need for Speed Underground, the words "my heaven, your hell" have been replaced by "I'm winning, you're losing".

The video was directed by P. R. Brown and features the band facing the walls of a small room with the camera orbiting around them. The walls are lifted by the end of the video revealing a crowd of fans around the room's floor.

Reception

The song was declared to have the band's the number one music video from Billboard magazine in 2014.
