Alternatives to Chemical Restraints

Hello dear friends, family, practitioners, extended community:

I am helping organize a panel discussion on the topic of Alternatives to Chemical Restraint, here in Olympia, WA, and would love to have you present for this important conversation if you are local!

If not, we will be discussing this info on the radio station KAOS 89.3 FM on Thursday 12-1pm PST, which you can stream from anywhere.

Alternatives to Chemical Restraint Panel Discussion
Monday March 5th, 7-9pm
Traditions Cafe in downtown Olympia

Chemical restraints are pharmaceutical drugs used to sedate someone in a crisis or perceived crisis situation. This practice resulted in a recent, tragic death of a local woman (http://www.theolympian.com/news/local/article198930799.html ), and I am hoping to bring a wide range of community members together to try and identify alternatives to chemical restraint and forced medication, and also build awareness and skills for de-escalation for individuals experiencing emotional/mental/spiritual crisis.
