One of my favourite places to get away from the city hubub that's right in the city. I can do food shopping, buy plants at the nursery, and listen to the bullfrogs in the pond. Lovely.

The food was great but the customer service was a joke! Staff who clearly did not want to help! Saw that there was a fettuccine special and asked what it was.. Got a sarcastic response of "it's pasta." When I explained that I couldn't read the details as people were standing in front of that section of the board she looked at me with no response. I had to walk to the other side of the cafe to read it!!! The coffee took 30 minutes to arrive, when we asked the waiter how much longer he expected it to be he snapped back with "a while". So disgusting that another patron commented on how terribly we were treated! Have vowed never to return. All would be fine as long as you don't ask them a question

Excellent space. The Merri Table isn't as kid friendly as the old cafe (in terms of space to run around yelling and screaming without disturbing people, not the people who work there, they're great). The cafe in the market area is the next best thing though. Often there is a band on weekends during market time. The Bike Shed is fantastic (but busy) there's talk of an expansion of the covered area and bench space. The nursery has some good healthy seedlings and plants. I don't know much about the community garden apart from the eggs tasting really good. This place does a whole lot more as well.

There's do much here!! Cafe, community gardens, great produce, plenty of community groups (bike shed, music, apiary courses and more). Great sustainability and ecofriendly house. Plenty of information and people to talk to.

CERES is an amazing community treasure. They have too many green and ethical products, facilities, events, workshops and others to list. It's a place to learn, make connections, chill, volunteer and shop.

Great food. Nice vibe. Great workshops. The farmers market has high quality produce and it is one of the few places that offer produces in bulk.

For its size not that sustainable-very space wasting. Uses the terminology recycling to justify looking like a bit of a slum. Decent plant selection though.

Awesome place to be, with or without kids: good food at the cafe and at the little market, nice surroundings, nature playground and close to the Merri Creek trail.
