The Mad Capsule Markets (originally known as The Mad Capsule Market's and Berrie) were a Japanese band that formed in 1985 and were active until 2006. The band became known for their experimental style, which melded various kinds of electronic music and punk rock.
In 1985, while in high school, vocalist and songwriter Hiroshi Kyono and guitarist Minoru Kojima formed the punk band Berrie. One year later, the duo were joined by bassist Takeshi Ueda and drummer "Seto", at which point the quartet began performing at concerts and entering Battle of the Bands competitions. The band recorded a three-song demo tape entitled Poison Revolution, which they distributed themselves. (Two of these three songs were later re-released on the Speak!!! album.) Their popularity in the Japanese underground music scene steadily grew and in 1990 this success earned them a place as the opening act for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. However, within months of the performance, drummer "Seto" left the band, and was replaced by Tokyo resident Motokatsu Miyagami. In April 1990, Berrie changed its name to The Mad Capsule Market's, purportedly a term for distributors of Betaphenethylamine, a fictional drug from the cyberpunk novel Neuromancer.
A short film is any film not long enough to be considered a feature film. Although no consensus exists as to where that boundary is drawn, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". The term featurette originally applied to a film longer than a short subject, but shorter than a standard feature film.
The increasingly rare term short subject means approximately the same thing. An industry term, it carries more of an assumption that the film is shown as part of a presentation along with a feature film. Short is an abbreviation for either term. Short films are often screened at local, national, or international film festivals and made by independent filmmakers for non profit, either with a low budget or no budget at all. They are usually funded by film grants, non profit organizations, sponsor, or personal funds. Short films are generally used by filmmakers to gain experience and/or prove their talent in order to gain funding for future films from private investors, entertainment companies, or film studios.

From the band later known as The Mad Capsule Markets, this is from rare 1989 demo tape "POISON REVOLUTION". (seems to be called Berrie's Revolution, on the cover i have found provided) This track was also released in 1990 as a standalone single and 1992 on SPEAK! some trivia: The Hiranya used as Berrie's logo in the centre, became somewhat of a phenomenon in Japan in the mid-1980s. The concept of Hiranya was popularized on Young Paradise with Yuji Miyake, a nightly radio show that ran from 1984-1990. The word "hiranya" has origins in ancient Sanskrit. Literally translated it means "golden", but it can also mean "superior" or "best". In 1980s Japan, Hiranya was part of a mysticism movement that claimed that metal hexagrams were super lucky. If you made two equilateral triangles out of w...

Catching Light is a short narrative animation. Drawn by hand, the animation is constantly flowing and changing, at times its expressive lines running wild and chaotic. The story is about the struggle for one's deepest desires, and in its journey, with darkness in place of light, questioning the reality of desires, and the perceptions of the ideas of imprisonment, freedom; resistance, acceptance; desire, and no-desire. The score for this film employs relatively free composition techniques, both as a strategy for coordinating with the film and in order to explore the potential for contrast against the fixed film soundtracks more typically seen today. In terms of pitch content, nothing is absolutely determined. The sounds employed are inspired both by the character's emotional journey as wel...

(2004) This is pound for pound one of my favorite albums ever released by any band. It is relentlessly melodic sometimes and completely frenetic and ferocious at others. MAD is a band that changed its sound very often through the years, but to my ear, this album sounds like a pretty amazing fusion of nearly everything that ever came before it. Hope you all enjoy it, and if you like it, please seek out a physical copy to purchase! Band: The Mad Capsule Markets Album: PARK (1994) I think this album has over time usurped CiSTm K0nFLiqT to become my favorite MAD album. Out of all the albums I own, PARK is the most eclectic. No two songs on this album sound alike, but just about every song sounds amazing. 「公園へあと少し」 and "Cr'ock on the Work" are two of my favorite songs I ever heard. If you enjoy this, check out some of their other albums and purchase them when you can! Taken from the 020120 DVD in 2001, MCM playing R.D.M.C. live at Zepp Tokyo, the song is also featured on their previous album 010. 020120 is the eleventh album from The Mad Capsule Markets. It was recorded live on January 20, 2002 at Zepp Tokyo, and showed that Mad could hold a live show as good as any of their albums. The music is basically material from the Osc-Dis and the 010 albums, but it did include a faster version of Kami-Uta as an encore track and for the intro tape, the show opens with Crass' song Gotcha (who inspired mad in the earlier days). The UK version issued the live DVD alongside the CD with a slightly altered track listing from the Japanese version (there was no Kami Uta and Interview on the DVD) but it made the fanbase of The Mad Capsule Markets much stronger.

The mad capsule markets live 1994.
Ein gebrochener Arm, ein gebrochenes Herz
Mitten im Höhenflug, ein Häufchen Elend
Dann diese Augen, Dein Blick
Bringt die Wende, bringt mir Glück
Hast mich getröstet, hast mich gepflegt
Bedingungslos, freier Eintritt in meine Seele
Schlafende Geister geweckt
Dummheit gedeckt
Neuen Mut in mich hineingelacht
Oh, nimm Dir, was ich brauch'
