SGP in Bhutan
The SGP started in 1998 and has reached some of the poorest regions and communities in Bhutan. The GEF-SGP under UNDP was launched in Bhutan in October 1998. This partnership has to date supported over 130 projects in the GEF focal areas of biodiversity conservation, climate change and land degradation. The average grant size ranges between US$ 20, 000 and US$ 30, 000. The project duration varies from one to three years depending upon the size and nature of the projects. Currently, SGP Projects are spread over 19 Dzongkhags. More
