Representatives of civil society, non-governmental organizations, academia and businesses, international organizations discussed partnership options for achieving the 2030 Agenda at today’s breakfast with Marianna Schetkina, the National Coordinator on Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
The manual has been prepared by a team of experts and published within the framework of the "Small Towns" project. The handbook consists of two parts "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship" and "Legal Issues" and is also supported with additional materials in electronic form (psychological tests, templates of business plan, checklists etc).
On the results of the parliamentary hearing of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus “Partnership of branches of power as a prerequisite for successful implementation of SDGs”, the following recommendations to the state bodies and organizations have been made.

"Belarus has very high chances to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, considering that almost all of the Millennium Development Goals were fulfilled ahead of schedule," said UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha. - Now it is necessary to direct efforts to help the most vulnerable groups of people.
The project "Green Cities" funded by the Global Environment Facility and implemented by the UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has arranged a study tour to Freiburg (Germany) and Strasbourg (France) to introduce the key project partners to the European good practices in green urban planning.
To implement green urban development plans it is important to have broad support of the local population and the media. This idea was emphasized by the participants of the press breakfast, organized in Polotsk by the "Green Cities" project’s team for journalists from Polack and Navapolack-pilot cities of the project, as well as representatives of some republican media.
