MANILA - The Air Force plays a major role in running the Philippines' oppressional military, the head of the Philippine military said.
"These pilots demonstrated the power that was felt 24/7 wherever they were needed.In a five-month campaign, the Air Force flew over 1,350 flights, carrying nearly 7,000 troops and police personnel," Philippine General Staff Armed Forces (AFP) Carlito Galvez Jr . said in an airborne anniversary campaign held at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City on Friday.
About 1,000 Air Force personnel, including pilots and ground crews, assisted in the campaign, which begins May 23, 2017 and ends in October.
Galvez also recognizes the efforts of the 206th Tactical Wing Helicopter that provides day and night missions, along with the Airlift Wing 220 carrying military and civilian equipment, supplies, ammunition, and needed relief items.
The 250th Airlift President's wing is also recognized to ensure safe flight from Supreme Commander, President Rodrigo Duterte, during his visit to remote areas.
"Thank you Philippine Air Force to protect our army Thank you for your special service," Galvez said.
The AFP chief had previously said that the newly acquired FA-50PH Air Force contributed substantially to the country's defense, noting that without air support, the government's losses in the campaign would be much higher.
"The FA-50 (PH) roar is a thundering victory, PAF is a 'Game Changer' during the Hanga Ako sa campaign (I admire) Air Warriors to fly day and night just to give all our troop support needed on the field during the entire campaign. Without pilots, aircrews and air controllers are highly skilled, focused, and hardworking, "Galvez said.
The FA-50PH has a baptism of fire in a campaign where it is widely used for short-range air support missions along with the OV-10 "Bronco" turbo-prop fighters, SF-260 light bombers and various attacks. PAF helicopter.
FA-50PHs have a speed of Mach 1.5 speed or one and a half times the speed of sound and are capable of air-to-air missiles, including air-to-air AI-9 "Sidewinder" and heat-seeking missiles in addition to a lightweight cannon.

Duterte made his announcement during his speech to the soldiers from the 102nd Infantry Brigade in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, that his administration would not accept second-hand equipment

The Philippines is allocating a budget of more than 100 billion pesos (around Rp26.7 trillion) to modernize military equipment under the five-year spending plan.

2018 programa ng paggawa ng makabago ng AFP sa isang malaking sukat
MANILA - Inilantad ng pamahalaan ang 2018 na PHP25 bilyon para sa programang modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na kasama ang pagkuha ng mga bagong helicopters, tangke at iba pang hardware ng militar.
Ayon kay Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla Jr., deputy chief of staff ng AFP para sa mga plano at programa, ang pagkuha ng bagong hardware sa militar ay matagal nang huli para sa pambansang seguridad ng bansa.
Sa loob ng ilang taon na ngayon mula noong ang pagpapatibay ng Batas ng Modernisasyon ng AFP noong 1995, ang modernisasyon ng AFP ay nasa bilis ng suso dahil sa mga hadlang sa badyet.
Sinabi ni Padilla sa Linggo ng Philippine News Agency na ang halaga para sa programa ng modernisasyon ng AFP ay inilaan sa General Appropriations Act (GAA) para sa 2018.
Sinabi ni Padilla na binibigyan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ng prayoridad ang programang modernisasyon ng AFP sa panahon ng kanyang katungkulan.
Inihayag niya na ang programang modernisasyon ay matagal nang huli.
Tinitiyak din ni Padilla sa publiko na ang lahat ng mga transaksyon o pakikitungo sa pagkuha ng mga bagong kagamitan sa militar ay mas mataas sa board.
Sinabi niya na ang Pangulo ay masigasig sa programa ng paggawa ng modernisasyon upang ang Pilipinas ay magtamo ng paggalang sa ibang mga bansa.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero na nagbigay ng kanilang buong suporta sa programang modernisasyon ng militar.
Mula sa PHP25 bilyon para sa 2018, ang AFP ay kukuha ng bagong pag-atake at utility helicopters para sa Philippine Air Force (PAF) at tangke para sa Philippine Army, sinabi ni Padilla.
Sinabi niya na ang iba pang mga armas ay makukuha rin upang gawing makabago ang AFP.
Ang PAF ay kamakailan-lamang na nakuha ng isang dosenang bagong tatak ng FA-50 jets mula sa South Korea para sa PHP18.9 bilyon.

"These pilots demonstrated the power that was felt 24/7 wherever they were needed.In a five-month campaign, the Air Force flew over 1,350 flights, carrying nearly 7,000 troops and police personnel," Philippine General Staff Armed Forces (AFP) Carlito Galvez Jr . said in an airborne anniversary campaign held at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City on Friday.
About 1,000 Air Force personnel, including pilots and ground crews, assisted in the campaign, which begins May 23, 2017 and ends in October.
Galvez also recognizes the efforts of the 206th Tactical Wing Helicopter that provides day and night missions, along with the Airlift Wing 220 carrying military and civilian equipment, supplies, ammunition, and needed relief items.
The 250th Airlift President's wing is also recognized to ensure safe flight from Supreme Commander, President Rodrigo Duterte, during his visit to remote areas.
"Thank you Philippine Air Force to protect our army Thank you for your special service," Galvez said.
The AFP chief had previously said that the newly acquired FA-50PH Air Force contributed substantially to the country's defense, noting that without air support, the government's losses in the campaign would be much higher.
"The FA-50 (PH) roar is a thundering victory, PAF is a 'Game Changer' during the Hanga Ako sa campaign (I admire) Air Warriors to fly day and night just to give all our troop support needed on the field during the entire campaign. Without pilots, aircrews and air controllers are highly skilled, focused, and hardworking, "Galvez said.
The FA-50PH has a baptism of fire in a campaign where it is widely used for short-range air support missions along with the OV-10 "Bronco" turbo-prop fighters, SF-260 light bombers and various attacks. PAF helicopter.
FA-50PHs have a speed of Mach 1.5 speed or one and a half times the speed of sound and are capable of air-to-air missiles, including air-to-air AI-9 "Sidewinder" and heat-seeking missiles in addition to a lightweight cannon.
A total of 12 aircraft were acquired from Korea Aerospaces Industries for PHP18. 9 billion. Deliveries begin in November 2015 and finish in May 2017.

MANILA - Inilantad ng pamahalaan ang 2018 na PHP25 bilyon para sa programang modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na kasama ang pagkuha ng mga bagong helicopters, tangke at iba pang hardware ng militar.
Ayon kay Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla Jr., deputy chief of staff ng AFP para sa mga plano at programa, ang pagkuha ng bagong hardware sa militar ay matagal nang huli para sa pambansang seguridad ng bansa.
Sa loob ng ilang taon na ngayon mula noong ang pagpapatibay ng Batas ng Modernisasyon ng AFP noong 1995, ang modernisasyon ng AFP ay nasa bilis ng suso dahil sa mga hadlang sa badyet.
Sinabi ni Padilla sa Linggo ng Philippine News Agency na ang halaga para sa programa ng modernisasyon ng AFP ay inilaan sa General Appropriations Act (GAA) para sa 2018.
Sinabi ni Padilla na binibigyan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ng prayoridad ang programang modernisasyon ng AFP sa panahon ng kanyang katungkulan.
Inihayag niya na ang programang modernisasyon ay matagal nang huli.
Tinitiyak din ni Padilla sa publiko na ang lahat ng mga transaksyon o pakikitungo sa pagkuha ng mga bagong kagamitan sa militar ay mas mataas sa board.
Sinabi niya na ang Pangulo ay masigasig sa programa ng paggawa ng modernisasyon upang ang Pilipinas ay magtamo ng paggalang sa ibang mga bansa.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero na nagbigay ng kanilang buong suporta sa programang modernisasyon ng militar.
Mula sa PHP25 bilyon para sa 2018, ang AFP ay kukuha ng bagong pag-atake at utility helicopters para sa Philippine Air Force (PAF) at tangke para sa Philippine Army, sinabi ni Padilla.
Sinabi niya na ang iba pang mga armas ay makukuha rin upang gawing makabago ang AFP.
Ang PAF ay kamakailan-lamang na nakuha ng isang dosenang bagong tatak ng FA-50 jets mula sa South Korea para sa PHP18.9 bilyon.
Ngunit malayo pa rin ito mula sa mga taon ng imbentaryo nito kapag ang PAF ay pangalawa sa wala sa Southeast Aisa sa kakayahan sa pagtatanggol sa mga squadron ng jet fighters tulad ng F-5, F-8, at Saber jet, ngunit lahat ng mga warplanes na ito ay nagretiro matagal na ang nakalipas.
Nagkaroon din ng oras kapag ang PAF ay nagkaroon sa imbentaryo nito sa 140 helicopters ngunit lubhang nabawasan sa paglipas ng mga taon dahil sa wear at luha.
Ang mga PAF piloto ay naghahanap ng pasulong sa isang Air Force na sa lalong madaling panahon ay makakakuha supersonic jet fighters upang mapalakas ang kakayahan sa pagtatanggol sa hangin ng Armed Forces.
Bukod sa pagkuha ng mga sasakyang panghimpapawid, ang Philippine Navy ay kailangan din ng mga bagong barko upang ma-secure ang mahabang daan ng bansa na dalawang beses hangga't sa Estados Unidos.
Ang Navy ay ginagamit upang magkaroon ng isang malaking bilang ng mga barko ngunit sa pamamagitan ng mga taon marami sa kanila ay mothballed dahil sa katandaan.

MANILA - The Air Force plays a major role in running the Philippines' oppressional military, the head of the Philippine military said.
"These pilots demonstrated the power that was felt 24/7 wherever they were needed.In a five-month campaign, the Air Force flew over 1,350 flights, carrying nearly 7,000 troops and police personnel," Philippine General Staff Armed Forces (AFP) Carlito Galvez Jr . said in an airborne anniversary campaign held at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City on Friday.
About 1,000 Air Force personnel, including pilots and ground crews, assisted in the campaign, which begins May 23, 2017 and ends in October.
Galvez also recognizes the efforts of the 206th Tactical Wing Helicopter that provides day and night missions, along with the Airlift Wing 220 carrying military and civilian equipment, supplies, ammunition, and needed relief items.
The 250th Airlift President's wing is also recognized to ensure safe flight from Supreme Commander, President Rodrigo Duterte, during his visit to remote areas.
"Thank you Philippine Air Force to protect our army Thank you for your special service," Galvez said.
The AFP chief had previously said that the newly acquired FA-50PH Air Force contributed substantially to the country's defense, noting that without air support, the government's losses in the campaign would be much higher.

Without pilots, aircrews and air controllers are highly skilled, focused, and hardworking, "Galvez said.
The FA-50PH has a baptism of fire in a campaign where it is widely used for short-range air support missions along with the OV-10 "Bronco" turbo-prop fighters, SF-260 light bombers and various attacks. PAF helicopter.
FA-50PHs have a speed of Mach 1.5 speed or one and a half times the speed of sound and are capable of air-to-air missiles, including air-to-air AI-9 "Sidewinder" and heat-seeking missiles in addition to a lightweight cannon.
A total of 12 aircraft were acquired from Korea Aerospaces Industries for PHP18. 9 billion. Deliveries begin in November 2015 and finish in May 2017.

Duterte made his announcement during his speech to the soldiers from the 102nd Infantry Brigade in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, that his administration would not accept second-hand equipment

The Philippines is allocating a budget of more than 100 billion pesos (around Rp26.7 trillion) to modernize military equipment under the five-year spending plan.
In the Philippines this year spent 25 billion pesos for a takeover from South Korea and Israel.
Manila has ordered two multifunctional warships from Indonesia and 12 FA-50 light fighter aircraft from South Korea.

2018 programa ng paggawa ng makabago ng AFP sa isang malaking sukat
MANILA - Inilantad ng pamahalaan ang 2018 na PHP25 bilyon para sa programang modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na kasama ang pagkuha ng mga bagong helicopters, tangke at iba pang hardware ng militar.
Ayon kay Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla Jr., deputy chief of staff ng AFP para sa mga plano at programa, ang pagkuha ng bagong hardware sa militar ay matagal nang huli para sa pambansang seguridad ng bansa.
Sa loob ng ilang taon na ngayon mula noong ang pagpapatibay ng Batas ng Modernisasyon ng AFP noong 1995, ang modernisasyon ng AFP ay nasa bilis ng suso dahil sa mga hadlang sa badyet.
Sinabi ni Padilla sa Linggo ng Philippine News Agency na ang halaga para sa programa ng modernisasyon ng AFP ay inilaan sa General Appropriations Act (GAA) para sa 2018.
Sinabi ni Padilla na binibigyan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ng prayoridad ang programang modernisasyon ng AFP sa panahon ng kanyang katungkulan.
Inihayag niya na ang programang modernisasyon ay matagal nang huli.
Tinitiyak din ni Padilla sa publiko na ang lahat ng mga transaksyon o pakikitungo sa pagkuha ng mga bagong kagamitan sa militar ay mas mataas sa board.
Sinabi niya na ang Pangulo ay masigasig sa programa ng paggawa ng modernisasyon upang ang Pilipinas ay magtamo ng paggalang sa ibang mga bansa.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero na nagbigay ng kanilang buong suporta sa programang modernisasyon ng militar.
Mula sa PHP25 bilyon para sa 2018, ang AFP ay kukuha ng bagong pag-atake at utility helicopters para sa Philippine Air Force (PAF) at tangke para sa Philippine Army, sinabi ni Padilla.
Sinabi niya na ang iba pang mga armas ay makukuha rin upang gawing makabago ang AFP.
Ang PAF ay kamakailan-lamang na nakuha ng isang dosenang bagong tatak ng FA-50 jets mula sa South Korea para sa PHP18.9 bilyon.
Ngunit malayo pa rin ito mula sa mga taon ng imbentaryo nito kapag ang PAF ay pangalawa sa wala sa Southeast Aisa sa kakayahan sa pagtatanggol sa mga squadron ng jet fighters tulad ng F-5, F-8, at Saber jet, ngunit lahat ng mga warplanes na ito ay nagretiro matagal na ang nakalipas.
Nagkaroon din ng oras kapag ang PAF ay nagkaroon sa imbentaryo nito sa 140 helicopters ngunit lubhang nabawasan sa paglipas ng mga taon dahil sa wear at luha.
Ang mga PAF piloto ay naghahanap ng pasulong sa isang Air Force na sa lalong madaling panahon ay makakakuha supersonic jet fighters upang mapalakas ang kakayahan sa pagtatanggol sa hangin ng Armed Forces.
Bukod sa pagkuha ng mga sasakyang panghimpapawid, ang Philippine Navy ay kailangan din ng mga bagong barko upang ma-secure ang mahabang daan ng bansa na dalawang beses hangga't sa Estados Unidos.
Ang Navy ay ginagamit upang magkaroon ng isang malaking bilang ng mga barko ngunit sa pamamagitan ng mga taon marami sa kanila ay mothballed dahil sa katandaan.
