Welcome to the web site of Jane Yolen, who has been called the Hans Christian Andersen of America and the Aesop of the twentieth century. Jane Yolen sets the highest standard for the industry, not only in the meaningful body of work she has created, but also in her support of fellow authors and artists. She has written over 365 books, won numerous awards, been given  six honorary doctorates in literature, and got to spend a day in a studio with Kevin Kline while he did voice over for one of her animated stories. Guess which accomplishment she talks about most?

This site, of course, has tons of information on her many books.  But it also has essays, poems, a journal, answers to frequently asked questions, a brief biography, her travel schedule, and links to resources for teachers and writers.
