This month's Speakers Series delves into the history of anti-Black racism in Canada, from slavery to the present. The talk is based on the book of the same name, and we're very fortunate to have the author, Robyn Maynard, with us as the speaker. Join us!

While today's weather may not be as nice, it is the perfect day to sign up for the two buses we have reserved for the rally. One departs from Allan Gardens and the other from St.George station (Bedford exit). Sign up now!

Yesterday, we reported on homeless people at a Toronto respite centre put out on the streets during the day. Following our intervention, they are all back inside.

Margaret's respite centre in the Toronto Downtown East is closing its doors from today until next Tuesday, from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. Despite the City's commitment to operate these centres 24 hours a day, seven days a week, these homeless people are sitting out in the rain today with all their belongings and with no access to toilet facilities. Alternative space must be found for them immediately.
