No border in Ireland is acceptable. Whether "hard" or "soft" it is illegal. Britain partitioned Ireland dividing the country in two to suppress the 32 county Republic of 1916. The idea that there is a favourable kind of border is a total affront to the Republic.

Remembering 12-year-old Kevin Heatley who was shot dead by British soldiers in occupied Ireland on this day in 1973. The Ministry of Defence offered his family £750 compensation. The British deemed that sum to be "the acceptable rate for a minor".

In 1901 Britain blamed overpopulation for the Indian famine of 1899-1900. One million lives were claimed. It was British economic policy and racism the caused famines in India.

“Operation Legacy” was a programme launched by Britain to destroy thousands of records detailing colonial crimes. Many more records were put under lock & key and will remain so for many decades to come. Recently the British govt “lost” thousands of National Archive files.

Contrary to the myth perpetuated in Britain, India's fight for independence was violent. More than 10 million Indians were killed by the British in the years following the 1857 uprising alone. Heroes like Bhagat Singh, Surya Sen & Udham Singh all fought to the death for freedom.

The British Army are the biggest gang of mass murderers the world has ever seen. And their "veterans" protest against "Islamists" whom Britain has colluded with and facilitated for decades - most recently in Libya and Syria. The irony.

Predictably Gary Oldman wins a for his portrayal of the genocidal racist Winston Churchill. The number of TV shows & films aimed at rehabilitating the British Empire’s war criminals has increased in recent years. Desperate attempt to cling on to their revisionist history.

You can much more evil than this. Britain has proposed that the UN should praise Saudi Arabia for its “humanitarian work” in Yemen. Britain & the US along with their Saudi proxy have overseen a campaign which has led to hundreds of thousands dying from starvation in Yemen.

. Britain will never face its colonial past so long as its foreign policy of today is rooted in that legacy. Nor should anyone seek the “establishment” as you put it to acknowledge its crimes - as if they don’t know what they have done and are doing.
