Director X
Julien Christian Lutz (born October 31, 1975), better known as Little X, X or Director X, is a Canadian music video director. He also has his own clothing line X Fit. He was born and raised near Toronto, Ontario, and is of Trinidadian and Swiss descent.
Music videos
Julien Christian Lutz attended both Mayfield Secondary School and North Park Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario. A protégé of Hype Williams, X has been noted for his high-budget, visually distinctive music videos for popular music singles, including videos for The Wanted, R. Kelly, Usher, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Korn, David Guetta, Nelly Furtado, Sean Paul, Justin Bieber, Drake, Nicki Minaj, T.I., Little Mix and Iggy Azalea. He is currently represented by DNA - David Naylor and Associates, Hollywood, CA. In 2015, Director X founded his own production company, Creative Soul in Toronto, Canada.
His trademark is tweaking the letterbox format; instead of just using black bars on the top and bottom of the frame to frame the image, many videos by X actually feature the bars opening vertically to reveal the video and closing vertically at the end, like a letter box.

Hotline Bling
"Hotline Bling" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake. It was released as a single on July 31, 2015, the same day that several diss tracks aimed at fellow rapper Meek Mill surfaced on the Internet.
The song received praise and criticism from music reviewers, praising the song for its presentation of Drake's emotional side on the track as well as its production, while others were critical of its lyrical content, considering it sexist. A Director X–directed music video for the song was also released, receiving positive reviews from critics. It subsequently gained popularity on YouTube and spawned several parodies of it. It has been included on numerous year-end critics' polls. "Hotline Bling" received commercial success worldwide, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Drake's highest-charting single in the United States (tying with "Best I Ever Had" in 2009). It also reached number three in Drake's native Canada and the United Kingdom, where it became his highest-charting single as a lead artist. A spanish version by reggaeton and R&B singer Randy was released on February 2016.

Rita Ora
Rita Sahatçiu Ora (born Rita Sahatçiu; 26 November 1990) is a British singer and actress. Her debut studio album, Ora, released in 2012, debuted at number one in the United Kingdom. The album contained the UK number-one singles, "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)". After reaching the peak position as a featured act on DJ Fresh's "Hot Right Now", Ora became the artist with the most number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart in 2012, with three consecutive singles reaching the top position. She was nominated for three Brit Awards at the 2013 ceremony.
Her single, "I Will Never Let You Down", became her fourth UK number one when it debuted at the top of the charts in 2014. Also in 2014, Ora featured on Iggy Azalea's single, "Black Widow", which reached number three in the US. In 2015, Ora became a coach on the fourth series of The Voice UK, and later that year, a judge on the twelfth series of The X Factor.
Early life
Ora was born in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia (present-day Kosovo) to Albanian parents. Her mother, Vera Sahatçiu (née Bajraktari), is a psychiatrist, and her father, Besnik Sahatçiu, is an economist and a pub owner. Her mother is Catholic and her father is Muslim. Ora has an older sister, Elena, and a younger brother, Don. She was named after the favourite film star of her film director grandfather Besim Sahatçiu, Rita Hayworth. She was born as Rita Sahatçiu (surname derived from the Turkish word "saatçi" which means "watchmaker"), but her father later added Ora ("time" in Albanian) to the family surname so it could be easily pronounced.

From Aaliyah, to Puff Daddy, to Rick Ross, to Usher, to Justin Bieber, to Drake, Director X has helped create the images and personas of music's most ginormous personalities. We hung out with X while he was interviewed at the CBC building, sat around on a roof top drinking Grolsch, visited the offices of the Manifesto hip-hop festival, and chopped it up about his career, favourite stories, and what it means to be a Caribbean Canadian artist. I got Komatik Films with me! There are a trio of talented guys who are determined bring a different touch to how music videos are shot here in Toronto. They already have a few music videos under their belt. Director Kells has went to school for film then interned for Director X. While he was interning for Director X, he learned a lot of valuable industry knowledge, networked with other like-minded people and participated in industry routines. The Dark Side of Metcalf's Law
Dominant Internet service provision business models reinforce a persistent digital divide: both through their cost-structuring and their necessity for high average return per user (ARPU). In essence, high-ARPU service provisions all but guarantees that the poorest quintiles of humanity have no meaningful access to online resources and digital applications. This "Dark Side of Metcalf's Law" means that as a higher percentage of people get online and receive the (supralineal) benefits that the Network Effect provides, the gulf between those online and offline constituencies will expand exponentially. But even if we are able to address this core problem, current conceptualizations of the digital divide fail to account for an even more sinister facet of an increasingly networked world: that civic participation and even participatory democracy itself are intersecting more and more with the virtual world -- leaving the poor doubly disenfranchised. Within this context, bridging the digital divide requires a far more complete solution -- one that provides not only connectivity, but the tools and resources for latecomers to this new public sphere to meaningfully organize and engage. In much the same way that civil society has historically engaged in major interventions to address prior structural inequality (e.g., the Fifteenth and Nineteenth Amendments, Voter Rights Act of 1965), we now need to accomplish this same societal-shifting evolution in thinking to ensure virtual enfranchisement. Using this framework, we explore the implications of utilizing Commotion Wireless networks (to provide low-cost Internet connectivity) and integrating the Loomio and DemocracyOS decision-making and voting platforms, as an partnership that encompasses the key components necessary for meaningfully bridging the digital divide in the 21st Century.
Sascha Meinrath is the Director of the X-Lab (http://www.thexlab.org/) and the Founder of the Open Technology Institute. He has been described as a "community Internet pioneer" and an "entrepreneurial visionary." He is a well-known expert on community wireless networks, municipal broadband, and telecommunications policy. In 2009 he was named one of Ars Technica's Tech Policy "People to Watch" and is also the 2009 recipient of the Public Knowledge IP3 Award for excellence in public interest advocacy.
Sascha is a co-founder of Measurement Lab, a distributed server platform for researchers around the world to deploy Internet measurement tools, advance network research, and empower the public with useful information about their broadband connections. He also coordinates the Open Source Wireless Coalition, a global partnership of open source wireless integrators, researchers, implementors and companies dedicated to the development of open source, interoperable, low-cost wireless technologies. He is a regular contributor to Government Technology's Digital Communities, the online portal and comprehensive information resource for the public sector.
Sascha has worked with Free Press, the Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA), the Acorn Active Media Foundation, the Ethos Group, and the CUWiN Foundation.

In much the same way that civil society has historically engaged in major interventions to address prior structural inequality (e.g., the Fifteenth and Nineteenth Amendments, Voter Rights Act of 1965), we now need to accomplish this same societal-shifting evolution in thinking to ensure virtual enfranchisement. Using this framework, we explore the implications of utilizing Commotion Wireless networks (to provide low-cost Internet connectivity) and integrating the Loomio and DemocracyOS decision-making and voting platforms, as an partnership that encompasses the key components necessary for meaningfully bridging the digital divide in the 21st Century.
Sascha Meinrath is the Director of the X-Lab (http://www.thexlab.org/) and the Founder of the Open Technology Institute. He has been described as a "community Internet pioneer" and an "entrepreneurial visionary." He is a well-known expert on community wireless networks, municipal broadband, and telecommunications policy. In 2009 he was named one of Ars Technica's Tech Policy "People to Watch" and is also the 2009 recipient of the Public Knowledge IP3 Award for excellence in public interest advocacy.
Sascha is a co-founder of Measurement Lab, a distributed server platform for researchers around the world to deploy Internet measurement tools, advance network research, and empower the public with useful information about their broadband connections. He also coordinates the Open Source Wireless Coalition, a global partnership of open source wireless integrators, researchers, implementors and companies dedicated to the development of open source, interoperable, low-cost wireless technologies. He is a regular contributor to Government Technology's Digital Communities, the online portal and comprehensive information resource for the public sector.
Sascha has worked with Free Press, the Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA), the Acorn Active Media Foundation, the Ethos Group, and the CUWiN Foundation.

Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox has officially formalized their plans on their X-Men Universe next movie Dark Phoenix; with longtime X-Men producer and writer Simon Kinberg signing on to make his directorial debut on the movie, with Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Kodi Smit-McPhee all returning to reprise their respective roles. Deadline also confirms that Jessica Chastain is in official talks to join the movie as its main villain Lilandra, the empress of an alien empire called the Shi’ar, who leads the quest to imprison and execute Dark Phoenix, leading her into conflict with the X-Men. The studio also set a release date of Friday, November 2nd, 2018.
In a new and extensive Facebook Live Q & A with Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, the studio head talked about how the Marvel vs. DC Comics feud doesn’t extend to the people working behind the scenes. With the recent success of Wonder Woman proving big at the box office, Feige as well had only good things to say about DC and its fearless leader Geoff Johns.

Empire Magazine recently ran a feature on the future of the Transformers movies and thanks to Transformers World who followed up on that story, we now know that the new Bumblebee spin-off movie will take place in the 1980s. Director Travis Knight’s prequel will also not be as “busy or as large” as Michael Bay’s Transformers movies but rather, will focus on a lighter tone, with fewer robots and a return to the “boy and his car” storyline introduced in the first movie. Hailee Steinfeld will reportedly play “a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school” where she comes in contact with Bumblebee. The movie is gearing up for production now with a release date set for June 8th, 2018.
According to THR, a Crooked Man spin-off will be the next movie in The Conjuring universe. Based on a story by original helmer James Wan, the movie is now the third entity to get its own movie after Annabelle and The Nun. Mike Van Waes has been hired to pen the script which will utilize the English nursery rhyme as a jumping off point. No release date, director or actors have been announced at this time.
