In the ancient Greek myths, ambrosia (Greek: ἀμβροσία, "immortality") is sometimes the food or drink of the Greek gods, often depicted as conferring longevity or immortality upon whoever consumed it. It was brought to the gods in Olympus by doves, so it may have been thought of in the Homeric tradition as a kind of divine exhalation of the Earth.
Ambrosia is sometimes depicted in ancient art as distributed by a nymph labeled with that name. In the myth of Lycurgus, an opponent to the wine god Dionysus, violence committed against Ambrosia turns her into a grapevine.
Ambrosia is very closely related to the gods' other form of sustenance, nectar. The two terms may not have originally been distinguished; though in Homer's poems nectar is usually the drink and ambrosia the food of the gods; it was with ambrosia Hera "cleansed all defilement from her lovely flesh", and with ambrosia Athena prepared Penelope in her sleep, so that when she appeared for the final time before her suitors, the effects of years had been stripped away, and they were inflamed with passion at the sight of her. On the other hand, in Alcman, nectar is the food, and in Sappho and Anaxandrides, ambrosia is the drink. When a character in Aristophanes' Knights says, "I dreamed the goddess poured ambrosia over your head—out of a ladle," the homely and realistic ladle brings the ineffable moment to ground with a thump. Both descriptions, however, could be correct as Ambrosia could be a liquid that is considered a meal (much like how soup is labeled the same).

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Plot: In the distant future the world is in the grip of another ice age. A city originally built to house five million people is now in its death throes as the relentlessly advancing glacier is slowly crushing the metropolis's steel infrastructure. The relatively few surviving fur-clad inhabitants, perhaps thousands, perhaps only hundreds, drift aimlessly in their grim, drab world, awaiting their inevitable fate as they try to survive from day to day with scavenged firewood and minimal diet. Their only solaces are booza, an alcoholic drink distilled from moss, and Quintet, a seemingly innocuous board game for six players. The only other surviving mammals are roving packs of hungry mastiffs which roam the city's corridors and quickly dispose of the remains of the dead. Newly arrived from the south is Essex with his pregnant wife Vivia, seeking shelter in the doomed city only to find it populated by people middle-aged or older. They had supported themselves by hunting seals, but now that the last of the aquatic mammals has been killed off, they seek shelter in the apartment of Essex's brother, a renowned Quintet player. The new arrivals quickly learn that the game has a more sinister side.

LYRICS: I don't know how this whole business started Of you thinkin' that I had been untrue But if you think that we'd be better parted It's gonna hurt me but I'll break away from you Well, just give me the sign and I will be gone, yeahh That's how much I feel Feel for you, baby How much I need I need your touch How much I live I live for your loving That's how much, that's how much That's how much, that's how much I sleep alone, and late at night I'm dreamin' Of the togetherness that seems to be leavin' me I'd give it all and then I'd give some more If you would only love me like you had before Take hold of my hand and all will be forgiven That's how much I feel Feel for you, baby How much I need I need your touch How much I live I...

In 1980, Warner Bros. released One Eighty, a smash LP that produced two of the year's biggest hits, "You're the Only Woman", reaching number thirteen, and "Biggest Part of Me", which reached number three. This album featured the two new members, Lewis & Jones, although Lewis had contributed keyboard work on the Life Beyond LA album. They dedicated one of their songs to Sandie Clark, a mysterious woman as yet unknown.

4th track from "One Eighty" (1980). What can I say about one of the most perfectly crafted songs of all time? *** When Life Beyond L.A. became their biggest hit to date on the strength of smooth AOR like "How Much I Feel," Ambrosia decided to continue in this direction on One Eighty… [The ballads] are all lovingly crafted and boast strong, often complex melodies that keep them from getting too sappy or sentimental: "You're the Only Woman" is a keyboard-rich song that highlights Christopher North's soulful Hammond organ playing, and "Livin' on My Own" layers harmonies reminiscent of the Doobie Brothers over a jazzy tune driven by an intricate bassline. The album's finale, "Biggest Part of Me," is the best of these ballads. It combines rich Beach Boys-styled harmonies with a heartfelt lyri...

This Ambrosia video was recorded live for a television show back in 1980. I have replaced the live audio track with the original studio track. However, due to the timing differences with the 2 audio tracks, I had to add certain transitions and other effects to the video to stay in sync with the song. I hope you enjoy this version. And yes, I misspelled Copyright in the beginning...LOL

Until I met you baby
I only played with the band
But when I play my polonaise now
On my piano grand
I can't help but thinkin'
Of our first one night stand
When my precious hands were tinkling
On my little Georgie Sand
Come on and danse with me George
The pants you're wearing mama
And the cigar in your hand
Sorta put me off at first
I didn't understand
But now I love my vichy mama
I adore you and
I wouldn't ever leave you baby
For another man
Come on and danse with me George
You know your lips can spout quotations
But when your hips start their gyrations
They can thaw Valley Forge
Danse with me George
The memoirs of a mademoiselle
Far ahead of her time
Has left us all a legend
That's never gonna die
To say your ways were novel
Would be a lousy pun
But of late I've been feelig awful
I want to have me some fun
So come on
Put your pen aside baby
Come on
Your lips are driving me crazy
We could talk this out I'm sure
If you would just shut your mouth
So come on,
So come on,
da, da, da Danse with me george
Well your lips can spout quotations (Waltzin', minuet, mazurka)
But when your hips start their gyrations (Doin' it 'till we're beserka)
They could thaw Valley Forge
Danse with me George
LE DANSE
The legend that you leave us Is never gonna die.....
