  United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark and European Union (EU) Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica met on Friday to reaffirm the long-standing partnership on electoral assistance. They signed the revised European Commission-UNDP Electoral Assistance Guidelines, which aim to enhance the EC-UNDP collaboration on electoral assistance on the ground.

• Zambia Benefits From First Line HIV Treatment at an Unprecedented Low Price Nov 30, 2015

  UNDP has achieved significant reductions in the price of HIV medicines that it procures, bringing down the cost of the most common treatment to an unprecedented US$100 per patient per year in Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Haiti, Mali, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe. Through these price reductions UNDP is saving US$ 25 million that are being used to put an additional 250,000 people on life-saving HIV treatment.

  Lusaka, Zambia - The Government of the Republic of Zambia, the Churches Health Association of Zambia, and the Global Fund have reaffirmed their partnership, signing four new grants worth US$234 million to fight HIV, TB and malaria in Zambia.
