Before Ares' death, and Kratos opening Pandora's Box, Hephaestus, the Smith God was the most prized craftsmen of all Olympus, and was rewarded with marriage to Aphrodite. He was the creator of Pandora's Box and Pandora herself. Hephaestus was banished to the underworld by Zeus because Kratos was able to conquer Pandora's Temple, open the Box, and for Hephaestus hiding Pandora (whom he came to regard as a daughter) from Zeus.
Hephaestus is a personal favorite character of mine because of his good and pure hearted intentions (something lacking in most of the series' characters) as well as his witty dialogue towards Kratos. Unfortunately, upon realizing Kratos' intent to use Pandora as a means to retrieve the Flame of Olympus to defeat Zeus he concocts a plan to kill Kratos.
He sends Kratos on a quest to the Pit of Tartarus in order to find the Omphalos Stone, so that he could make a weapon for Kratos. While on his quest, Kratos encountered and slayed the Titan Cronos, and retrieved g the Omphalos Stone from his body. A furious Kratos returned to Hephaestus as he believed the Smith God had sent him on a suicide mission. Hephaestus pleaded his innocence, claiming that he knew that the Ghost of Sparta could handle himself. Upon completing the Nemesis Whip for Kratos, Hephaestus tried electrocuting Kratos with his ring in a final attempt to kill him.
Kratos managed to shake off the effect and killed Hephaestus by impaling him on his own anvil. In his dying words, the smith god asked Kratos to spare his daughter, as well as begging for Pandora's forgiveness.

Etymology
Hephaestus is probably associated with the Linear B (Mycenean Greek) inscription 𐀀𐀞𐀂𐀴𐀍, A-pa-i-ti-jo, found at Knossos; the inscription indirectly attests his worship at that time because it is believed that it reads the theophoric name Haphaistios or Haphaistion. The name of the god in Greek (Hēphaistos), has a root which can be observed in names of places, of Pre-Greek origin, like Phaistos (Pa-i-to in Linear B).

God of War III
God of War III is a third-person action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). Released for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) console on March 16, 2010, the game is the fifth installment in the God of War series and the seventh, and last, chronologically. Loosely based on Greek mythology, the game is set in ancient Greece with vengeance as its central motif. The player controls the protagonist and former God of War, Kratos, after his betrayal at the hands of his father Zeus, King of the Olympian Gods. Reigniting the Great War, Kratos ascends Mount Olympus until he is abandoned by the Titan Gaia. Guided by the spirit of Athena, Kratos battles monsters, gods, and Titans in a search for Pandora, without whom he cannot open Pandora's Box, defeat Zeus, and end the reign of the Olympian Gods.
The gameplay is similar to previous installments, focusing on combo-based combat with the player's main weapon—the Blades of Exile—and secondary weapons acquired during the game. It uses quick time events, where the player acts in a timed sequence to defeat strong enemies and bosses. The player can use up to four magical attacks and a power-enhancing ability as alternative combat options, and the game features puzzles and platforming elements. Compared with previous installments, God of War III offers a revamped magic system, more onscreen enemies, new camera angles, and downloadable content.

Artillery game
Artillery games are early two or three-player (usually turn-based) video games involving tanks fighting each other in combat or similar. Artillery games are among the earliest computer games developed; the theme of such games is an extension of the original uses of computer themselves, which were once used to calculate the trajectories of rockets and other related military-based calculations. Artillery games have been described as a type of "shooting game", though they are more often classified as a type of strategy video game.
Early precursors to the modern artillery-type games were text-only games that simulated artillery entirely with input data values. A BASIC game known simply as Artillery was written by Mike Forman and was published in Creative Computing magazine in 1976. This seminal home computer version of the game was revised in 1977 by M. E. Lyon and Brian West and was known as War 3; War 3 was revised further in 1979 and published as Artillery-3. Percy decides to travel on a dangerous quest to retrieve the lightning bolt and save his mother. Grover and Annabeth join him and Luke gives a powerful shield of his own to protect Percy. Hephaestus is a personal favorite character of mine because of his good and pure hearted intentions (something lacking in most of the series' characters) as well as his witty dialogue towards Kratos. Unfortunately, upon realizing Kratos' intent to use Pandora as a means to retrieve the Flame of Olympus to defeat Zeus he concocts a plan to kill Kratos.
He sends Kratos on a quest to the Pit of Tartarus in order to find the Omphalos Stone, so that he could make a weapon for Kratos. While on his quest, Kratos encountered and slayed the Titan Cronos, and retrieved g the Omphalos Stone from his body. A furious Kratos returned to Hephaestus as he believed the Smith God had sent him on a suicide mission. Hephaestus pleaded his innocence, claiming that he knew that the Ghost of Sparta could handle himself. Upon completing the Nemesis Whip for Kratos, Hephaestus tried electrocuting Kratos with his ring in a final attempt to kill him.
Kratos managed to shake off the effect and killed Hephaestus by impaling him on his own anvil. In his dying words, the smith god asked Kratos to spare his daughter, as well as begging for Pandora's forgiveness.

Before Ares' death, and Kratos opening Pandora's Box, Hephaestus, the Smith God was the most prized craftsmen of all Olympus, and was rewarded with marriage to Aphrodite. He was the creator of Pandora's Box and Pandora herself. Hephaestus was banished to the underworld by Zeus because Kratos was able to conquer Pandora's Temple, open the Box, and for Hephaestus hiding Pandora (whom he came to regard as a daughter) from Zeus.

A year ago my beloved partner, Blacksmith Paul, died. We'd only been together for eight months, although we'd known each other when we were younger and not realised the depth of the connection that we shared. It is a tragic story of chances missed, bad timing and true love ...
