Ur was a supercontinent that formed 3,000 million years ago (3 billion) in the early Archean eon; perhaps the oldest continent on Earth, half a billion years older than Arctica, but it may have been preceded by one other supercontinent, Vaalbara, which is suggested to have formed about 3,600 to 3,100 million years ago.
Ur joined with the continents Nena and Atlantica about 1,000 million years ago (1 billion) to form the supercontinent Rodinia. Ur survived as a single unit until it was sundered when the supercontinent Pangaea broke apart into Laurasia and Gondwana.
Rocks that made up Ur are now parts of Africa, Australia, and India.
In the early period of Ur's existence, it was probably the only continent on Earth, and as such is considered a supercontinent, though it was probably smaller than present-day Australia.
When Ur was the only continent on Earth, all other land was in the form of small granite islands and small land-masses like Kenorland that were not large enough to be continents.
A continent is one of several very large landmasses on Earth. They are generally identified by convention rather than any strict criteria, with up to seven regions commonly regarded as continents. These are (from largest in size to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. In geology, areas of continental crust include regions covered with water.
By convention, "continents are understood to be large, continuous, discrete masses of land, ideally separated by expanses of water." Many of the seven most commonly recognized continents identified by convention are not discrete landmasses separated completely by water. The criterion "large" leads to arbitrary classification: Greenland, with a surface area of 2,166,086 square kilometres (836,330 sq mi) is considered the world's largest island, while Australia, at 7,617,930 square kilometres (2,941,300 sq mi) is deemed the smallest continent.
The Earth's major landmasses all have coasts on a single, continuous world ocean, which is divided into a number of principal oceanic components by the continents and various geographic criteria. The definitions of continents are sometimes extended beyond the major landmasses, in a way that every bit of land on earth is included in a continent.
Kathputli Colony is a colony of street performers in Shadipur Depot area of Delhi. For the last 50 years, it is home to some 2,800 families of magicians, snake charmers, acrobats, singers, dancers, actors, traditional healers and musicians and especially puppeteers or kathputli-performers from Rajasthan. This makes it world’s largest community of street performers.
The colony is undergoing an in situ redevelopment plan by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) of Government of Delhi.
The name Kathputli Colony comes from Hindi language word for puppet, Kathputli.
The colony started in the 1950s, as a cluster of makeshift tents in an open field on the outskirts of Delhi, set up by itinerant puppeteers from Rajasthan, which gave the colony its name. In the coming decades street performers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra also moved in. Today, it is prime real estate area surrounded by Mayapuri and Naraina.
In 2010, Government of Delhi initiated the redevelopment project of the colony on public-private partnership basis. The contract was granted to Raheja Developers. As per the plan, 2800 flats will be built in 10-storey buildings on the 5.2 hectare, apart from that a portion of the land will be given to the developer to construct its own commercial and residential buildings.
Some Devil is the debut solo album by musician Dave Matthews. It was released on September 23, 2003 on RCA Records. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA, signifying over a million copies sold. The album features several guest musicians, including long-time Dave Matthews Band collaborator guitarist Tim Reynolds and Phish frontman and guitarist Trey Anastasio. The album's first single, "Gravedigger", won a Grammy Award in 2004. Some Devil was recorded at Studio Litho in Seattle, Washington, and produced by Stephen Harris, who had previously worked with Dave Matthews Band on their 2002 album Busted Stuff.
Of the album, Matthews said:
Critics have said that the album is darker than Matthews' past albums with his band. Many fans, while at first skeptical of Matthews' desire to release a solo album, quickly praised his efforts. The album is noted for its moodier tone and the fresh direction shown in Matthews' songwriting.
Since 2003, Matthews has performed Some Devil material in concert with a group coined Dave Matthews & Friends, which consisted mainly of musicians that appear on the album. He has also played album material solo and with long-time acoustic duo partner Tim Reynolds. During the 2008 summer tour, Dave Matthews Band played "Gravedigger" and "So Damn Lucky" regularly, with "Stay or Leave" following suit during the 2009 summer tour.

The Earth has always been changing. Pangea wasn't the only super continent, and it certainly isn't going to be the last. What were the landmasses before Pangea? Ur is a proposed supercontinent that formed in the Archean 3,000 million years ago .In Roger's reconstruction Ur is half a billion years older than Arctica and, in the early period of its existence, it was probably the only continent on Earth, and as such can be considered a supercontinent, though it was probably smaller than present-day Australia. In more recent works geologists often refer to both Ur and other proposed Archaean continental assemblages as supercratons.Ur can, nevertheless, be half a billion years younger than Vaalbara, but the concepts of these two early cratonic assemblages are incompatible. PLANÈTE YOGA – Un long métrage documentaire de Carlos Ferrand, 2011, Canada (Québec), 87 minutes.
