Law firm Minter Ellison has pinched back a former staffer, Street Talk can reveal.
It's understood private equity specialist Chris Allen has joined Minter Ellison's Sydney office as a partner, from rival Gilbert + Tobin.
Allen will likely reprise his relationships with old colleagues Ricky Casali and Glen Sauer, and help drive forward Minter Ellison's private equity business.Â
Past sponsor deals include The Carlyle Group and Pacific Equity Partners' acquisition of iNova Phamaceuticals and KKR's purchase of Laser Clinics Australia.
He's also worked with the likes of Affinity Equity Partners, ICG and VGI Partners.Â
Allen joined Gilbert + Tobin in 2014. Prior to that, he was at Minters for four years.Â
