Tom Izzo (/ˈɪzoʊ/, Italian pronunciation: [ˈittso]; born January 30, 1955) is an American college basketball coach. Since 1995, he has been the head coach for the Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team, presiding over a prolonged period of success.
Under Izzo, the Michigan State program has been one of the most successful in the country. Izzo has led the Spartans to the 2000 NCAA Division I National Championship, the 2009 NCAA Division I National Championship Game, seven Final Fours, and seven Big Ten Championships in his 20 years at Michigan State. The coach with the most wins in school history, Izzo's teams have earned invitations to the past 18 consecutive NCAA tournaments, in addition to setting the Big Ten record for the longest home winning streak. These accomplishments led analyst Andy Katz at ESPN to deem Michigan State the top college basketball program for the decade from 1998 to 2007
Currently the longest tenured coach in the Big Ten Conference, Izzo, whose teams are often recognized for their rebounding prowess and defensive tenacity, has won four national coach of the year awards and maintains a considerable coaching tree—several of his former assistants are currently head coaches at other Division I schools. Izzo is just the fifth coach in Big Ten history to win seven conference titles. His immense success during the NCAA tournament has earned Izzo the nickname "Mr. March" among active coaches. In December, 2015, it was announced that Izzo was on the ballot for the first time for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. On February 12, 2016 Izzo was announced as one of 14 finalists for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

First Things is an ecumenical, conservative and, in some views, neoconservative religious journal aimed at "advanc[ing] a religiously informed public philosophy for the ordering of society". The magazine, which focuses on theology, liturgy, church history, religious history, culture, education, society and politics, is inter-denominational and inter-religious, representing a broad intellectual tradition of Christian and Jewish critique of contemporary society.
Published by the New York-based Institute on Religion and Public Life (IRPL),First Things is published monthly, except for bi-monthly issues covering June/July and August/September. The journal's name is often abbreviated to FT.
First Things was founded in March 1990 by Richard John Neuhaus, a prominent intellectual, writer, activist and Lutheran minister (ordained in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod and later affiliated to the American Lutheran Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), who converted to the Catholic Church and entered the priesthood shortly after the journal's founding. Fr. Neuhaus served as the journal's editor-in-chief until his death in January 2009 and wrote a regular column called, "The Public Square." He started the journal after his connection with the Rockford Institute was severed.

After the MSU men's basketball win over Southern Utah on Saturday night, head coach Tom Izzo spoke to the media about the criticism that he received concerning sophomore forward Nick Ward. Izzo was scrutinized for his benching of Ward after Tuesday's Big Ten win over Rutgers, in which Ward only played 11 minutes in the 10 point win. Izzo took time after the win over the Thunderbirds to address how unhappy he was with the coverage of the situation. "That's the talk radio idiots. And I mean that! Because that's what causes problems on a highly ranked team, that everything is scrutinized and you gotta be able to take that!" Watch the entire rant below.
There must be more than this
O breath of God, come breathe within
There must be more than this
Spirit of God we wait for you
Fill us anew we pray
Fill us anew we pray
CHORUS:
Consuming fire, fan into flame
A passion for your name
Spirit of God fall in this place
Lord have your way
Lord have your way with us
Come like a rushing wind
Clothe us with power from on high
Now set the captives free
Leaves us abandoned to your praise
Lord let your glory fall
Lord let your glory fall
CHORUS
BRIDGE:
Stir it up in our hearts, Lord
