Education policy: Ideology leads to Liberal dash of muddled thought

The Coalition's education policy ("Libs vow to teach values", The Age,  24/1) should be commended for its awareness that the "shameful treatment of Indigenous people" should be treated in depth; however, ideology has led to muddled thinking in at least two areas.

I'm a big fan of Ash Barty. She's fantastic. However, I switched off her first round match in the Open because I couldn't cope with the aggressive screeching of her opponent Aryna Sabalenka even with the sound low. It's not the first women's match I've switched off. It really is a problem that the WTA should have nipped in the bud many years ago because it's getting worse and spreading. The men grunt as they're making an effort. It's generally not intrusive.  The women who screech sound as though they're about to kill someone.Â
