Mosul is completely ruled by the Islamic State terror group headquartered in Al-Raqqah, Syria. The legitimate government of Iraq stopped paying salaries soon after the city was overrun by militants. Located some 400 km (250 mi) north of Baghdad, the original city stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient Assyrian city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has grown to encompass substantial areas on both the "Left Coast" (east side) and the "Right Coast" (west side) as the two banks are described in the local language.
Islamic state is a type of government based on Islamic religious law (sharia).

Strait Talk is a non-profit corporation that facilitates conflict resolution dialogue among university students on the Taiwan Strait issue. It is the only known program focused on promoting political dialogue between young people across the Taiwan Strait. The organization works with students to convene week-long Symposia on university campuses, bringing together five students from each of the three communities: mainland China, Taiwan, and the United States (or Hong Kong in Strait Talk Hong Kong). The fifteen student delegates take part in a private workshop facilitated by an expert mediator, based on the Interactive Conflict Resolution method. At the end of the week, the delegates present their Consensus Recommendation to the host university community and publish it for wider circulation. The organizing committee also holds a series of public lectures and panels on the cross-Strait relationship. Past speakers include: James Lilley, former US Ambassador to China, Richard Bush, former Chairman of the American Institute in Taiwan, and Douglas H. ITV News is the branding of news programmes on the British television network ITV. ITV has a long tradition of television news. Independent Television News (ITN) was founded to provide news bulletins for the network in 1955, and has since continued to produce all news programmes on ITV. The channel's news coverage has won awards from the Royal Television Society, Emmy Awards and BAFTAs. Between 2004 and 2008, the ITV Evening News held the title of "RTS News Programme of the Year". The flagship ITV News at Ten has won numerous BAFTA awards, and also being named "RTS News Programme of the Year" in 2011 and 2015.
ITV News has the second-largest television news audience in the United Kingdom, second only to BBC News (other broadcasters such as Sky News, Channel 4 News and 5 News count their audiences in hundreds of thousands). However, its £43 million annual news budget is dwarfed by that of the publicly funded BBC, which spends £89.5 million annually on news-gathering, plus a further £23.1 million on its rolling news channel.

# 12 Things NOT To Do in Iraq By: http://www.destinationtips.com/ Iraq is a lovely place. So know these 12 Things NOT to Do, before you go! 1. Try Not to stand out Rather than driving fast, surrounded by bodyguards try to blend in as much as possible. Women should dress in local fashion and men should grow out their facial hair. 2. Don't Step On Bread! Bread is a highly treasured food in Iraq. If you happen across a fallen hunk in the street don't step on it or touch it with your feet! 3. Don't Visit the Borders. Don't travel near the Syrian, Turkish, or Iranian borders. You may encounter large refugee flows. 4. Don't Bring Bad Luck. When Iraqis buy a new appliance they will crack an egg over it to wash away any bad luck! Iraqis are very superstitious. 5. Don't Get Jumpy! You oft...
