Scott Davis (born 1964) is an American marketing consultant and author of three books on brand and market strategy.
Davis received his B.S. in Marketing Management from the University of Illinois, and his Master of Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
He began his career at Procter & Gamble, eventually moving to Kuczmarski & Associates where he would remain for 12 years as Senior Partner. Davis joined Prophet in 2000 as a senior partner in charge of opening Prophet's Chicago location and was promoted to "chief growth officer" in 2010.
Davis is an Adjunct Professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a guest lecturer at other graduate schools including NYU, Harvard, Notre Dame, Medill, and Columbia University. He is also a contributing writer to publications including Forbes and Ad Age.
Scott D. Davis is a new age pianist from Dixon, California. He has released five albums. He considers his style to be similar to pianists David Lanz, George Winston, Yanni, and Michael Nyman.
Davis' music is featured on Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio, an internet based broadcast that draws over 500,000 listeners each month. Two of his tracks have also been chosen to be included on Pure Touch Volume 2, part of a nationally released series of sampler CDs. New Age Reporter described him by saying "his exuberance and originality are invigorating and his upbeat attitude contagious" while David Lanz has called his music "heavy mellow." Davis is a Metallica fan and has published an album, Pianotarium, of Metallica covers.

"My Immortal" is a song by American rock band Evanescence from their debut studio album Fallen (2003). It was released by Wind-up Records on December 8, 2003, as the third single from the album. The song was entirely written by guitarist Ben Moody, with the exception of the bridge, which was later written by lead singer Amy Lee, and it was produced by Dave Fortman. "My Immortal" was included on their EP release Mystary (2003) and on the demo album Origin (2000). The version originally from Origin was later included on Fallen. The single version of the song was called "band version" because of the additional band performing the bridge and final chorus of the song.
"My Immortal" is a piano rock song written in slow and free tempo. Moody was rumored to have been inspired to write it after the death of his grandfather. Lyrically, it talks about "a spirit staying with you after its death and haunting you until you actually wish that the spirit were gone because it won't leave you alone." Critical reception towards the song was positive, with critics complimenting its piano melody. In 2005 it received a nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 47th Grammy Awards. The song was also commercially successful, peaking within the top ten in more than ten countries. It also peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in Canada, Greece and the US Adult Pop Songs chart. The single was certified gold in the United States, and platinum in Australia.

Plot: A private plane carrying the daughter of a rich businessman crash-lands on the uninhabited island of San Miguel off the coast of Mexico, an island regarded by the locals as cursed. The businessman's Chief of Security, Scott Davis mounts a high-tech mission to rescue the survivors, and in his search to find a guide, comes across Frank Brodie, a man who was on the island ten years previously. Davis finds Brodie to be a brooding, reclusive drunk, haunted by his experiences on the island, and Brodie tells Davis that it isn't worth mounting a rescue mission as the survivors will, by now, be dead. Brodie, however, decides to tag along, bringing along a veritable arsenal of weapons and a fatalistic attitude, ridiculing Davis' plans as naive. Accompanying them is Tara Matthews, a young woman purporting to be a medic, and Davis' second-in-command, Eddie Mendoza, a down-to-earth practical man who very quickly realizes Brodie knows what he is doing and is inclined to believe what the man says. Bringing up the rear is Kovacs, the tech-whiz of the group, complete with thermal-re-con equipment and a high-tech communications system. On landing on the island it soon becomes very clear that they are not alone - something is out there watching them, and the trip rapidly descends into a nightmare. Brodie then informs them of the reason he left the island ten years previously - he was the only man left alive after a disastrous experiment in mutant animal genetics leaves the place infested with creatures that have only one aim in life - and that is to kill...

Plot: Foreign correspondent Carey Jackson is offered a job on Home Life, a "women's" magazine; he accepts when he finds the editor is his old flame Linda Gilman. Verbal pyrotechnics fly between Carey and Linda as they go to Indiana to cover the Brinker family's "typical American wedding." But triangles lurk beneath the surface of the impending nuptials. Can Carey rescue a story (and his job) out of the wreckage? Can all the sundered hearts be re-united?

I am enthusiastic about entrepreneur videos. I have searched on Youtube and Google and I always get videos/articles about what to do. I believe knowing what NOT to do is equally important. Usually, all I get is generic tips such as "dont grow too fast" but there are no concrete case studies. But when it comes to successful stories, there are specific examples we can learn from. I was thinking if maybe you can have videos/articles analysing and explaining how some real businesses failed, especially start ups. It would be great if you can use your influence to encourage entrepreneurs who have failed to share their stor...
