Another of Chris Wedge's early Ohio State University short films. Once again he bucks the then-dominant trend of rigid, mechanical shapes and motion with these extremely flexible characters and classic animation techniques. Wedge would later go on to co-found Blue Sky Studios, best known for the "Robots" and "Ice Age" feature films (also providing the voice of "Scrat" in the latter).

Bunny (1998), escrita y dirigida por Chris Wedge fue la tarjeta de presentación de Blue Sky Studios, después de ganar el Oscar en la categoría Best animation Short film. Lo que les permitió su perseguido deseo de hacer películas animadas, después de pasar gran parte de su historia relegados a la televisión.
Blue Sky Studio, siempre fue el patito feo de la industria, pues todos sus trabajadores eran herederos de la MAGI-Synthevision, responsable de los efectos del fracaso comercial y cinta de culto Tron (1982).
Director y guión: Chris Wedge.
Lanzamiento: Lanzado en DVD en los extras de Ice Age en 2002 y en la edición 2006 "Super Cool Edition".
Trama
Una vieja coneja, vive sola en una pequeña cabaña en el bosque. Mientras hornea un pastel, es continuamente molestada por una polilla que permanece volando alrededor de su cocina. Aunque al principio la expulsa de la habitación, la polilla vuelve.
La coneja solamente vive de recuerdos.
No importa lo que hace, no puede deshacerse del insecto, su molestia crece cuando se topa con una fotografía tomada hace muchos años de ella y su marido.
La molesta polilla.
Finalmente, golpea violentamente a la polilla que cae en la masa del pastel que vierte en un molde y mete en el horno. Se duerme hasta que suene el temporizador del horno, pero algo mágico sucede y del interior de la cocinasurge una luz misteriosa.
Aclaraciones: Spoilers
La historia está inspirada en las ilustraciones de Uncle Wiggily, posiblemente la coneja sea en realidad la esposa de Wiggily.
La razón de que la coneja vea el pasadizo a través de la estufa se debe a que ella "nunca" despertó del sueño y el espíritu de la polilla la guía a reunirse con su esposo. Cosa que se deduce con la secuencia del cuadro cuando los conejos se mueven.
Este corto además sirvió de demoreel de técnicas de la empresa, algunas cosas como el pelo del conejo, son logros técnicos bastante importantes para la época.

Chris Wedge
John Christian "Chris" Wedge (born March 20, 1957) is an American director, producer and voice actor of animation, best known for the films Ice Age, Robots and Epic.
Early life
Wedge was born in Binghamton, New York. He became interested in animation when he was 12 years old: "Back then, there was a TV special about kids making cut-out animation in a workshop—as I recall it was Yellow Ball Workshop—it was a clear technique to follow and I followed it. That fascinated me and it got me started. It was so simple, effective and magical in outcome and I stuck with creating things throughout my childhood, teenage years and then college."
He attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School, graduating in 1975. He received his BFA in Film from State University of New York at Purchase in Purchase, New York in 1981, and subsequently earned his MA in computer graphics and art education at the Ohio State University. He has taught animation at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he met his future film directing partner, Carlos Saldanha.

Bunny (1998), escrita y dirigida por Chris Wedge fue la tarjeta de presentación de Blue Sky Studios, después de ganar el Oscar en la categoría Best animation Short film. Lo que les permitió su perseguido deseo de hacer películas animadas, después de pasar gran parte de su historia relegados a la televisión.
Blue Sky Studio, siempre fue el patito feo de la industria, pues todos sus trabajadores eran herederos de la MAGI-Synthevision, responsable de los efectos del fracaso comercial y cinta de culto Tron (1982).

Trama
Una vieja coneja, vive sola en una pequeña cabaña en el bosque. Mientras hornea un pastel, es continuamente molestada por una polilla que permanece volando alrededor de su cocina. Aunque al principio la expulsa de la habitación, la polilla vuelve.
La coneja solamente vive de recuerdos.
No importa lo que hace, no puede deshacerse del insecto, su molestia crece cuando se topa con una fotografía tomada hace muchos años de ella y su marido.
La molesta polilla.
Finalmente, golpea violentamente a la polilla que cae en la masa del pastel que vierte en un molde y mete en el horno. Se duerme hasta que suene el temporizador del horno, pero algo mágico sucede y del interior de la cocinasurge una luz misteriosa.

It s a fun big action adventure movie it s about a big battle in the forest that happens between little samurais that ride on hummingbirds and bad guys that ride on bats he says talking about the main plot of the movie. He is then asked how he works out how to fit voices to the characters We make everything up in the movie so you make up the characters and you make up their personalities and when you ve decided that you try to figure out who s got the best voice to fit it.

A team of "sub-zero heroes" band together to save a human infant in this digitally animated feature from Oscar-winning director Chris Wedge, whose unique lighting software (called "Ray Tracing") sets his visual style apart from earlier CGI efforts. Twenty thousand years ago, the Earth is overrun by freezing temperatures in an Ice Age that is sending all manner of critters scattering in the path of encroaching glaciers. When a lost human infant is discovered, an unlikely quartet of misfits forms to return it to its mother: Manny, a depressed woolly mammoth (Ray Romano); Sid, a fast-talking sloth (John Leguizamo); an acorn-crazed squirrel named Scrat (Wedge); and the devilish saber-toothed tiger named Diego (Denis Leary). Before they can complete their mission, the reluctant compatriots will brave pits of boiling lava, dangerous caverns of ice, and even a traitorous plot within their midst. Ice Age (2002) also features the voices of Jack Black, Jane Krakowski, and Goran Visnjic.
