Saulė (Lithuanian: Saulė, Latvian: Saule) is a solar goddess, the common Baltic solar deity in the Lithuanian and Latvian mythologies. The noun Saulė/Saule in the Lithuanian and Latvian languages is also the conventional name for the Sun and originates from the Proto-Baltic name *Sauliā > *Saulē.
Saulė is one of the most powerful deities, the goddess of life and fertility, warmth and health. She is patroness of the unfortunate, especially orphans. The Lithuanian and Latvian words for "the world" (pasaulis and pasaule) are translated as "[a place] under the Sun".
Saulė is mentioned in one of the earliest written sources on Lithuanian mythology. According to Slavic translation of the Chronicle by John Malalas (1261), a powerful smith Teliavelis made the Sun and threw it into the sky. Missionary Jeronim Jan Silvanus Prazsky (ca. 1369–1440) spent three years attempting to Christianize Lithuania and later recounted a myth about kidnapped Saulė. She was held in a tower by powerful king and rescued by the zodiac using a giant sledgehammer. Jeronim Prazsky swore that he personally witnessed the hammer, venerated by the locals.
Saul (HWV 53) is a dramatic oratorio in three acts written by George Frideric Handel with a libretto by Charles Jennens. Taken from the First Book of Samuel, the story of Saul focuses on the first king of Israel's relationship with his eventual successor, David; one which turns from admiration to envy and hatred, ultimately leading to the downfall of the eponymous monarch. The work, which Handel composed in 1738, includes the famous "Dead March", a funeral anthem for Saul and his son Jonathan, and some of the composer's most dramatic choral pieces. Saul was first performed at the King's Theatre in London on 16 January 1739. The work was a success at its London premiere and was revived by Handel in subsequent seasons. Notable modern-day performances of Saul include that at Glyndebourne (United Kingdom) in 2015.
The German-born Handel had been resident in London since 1712 and had there enjoyed great success as a composer of Italian operas. His opportunities to set English texts to music had been more limited; he had spent the years 1717 to 1719 as composer in residence to the wealthy Duke of Chandos where he had written church anthems and two stage works, Acis and Galatea and Esther; and had composed vocal music to English words for various royal occasions, including a set of Coronation anthems for George II in 1727, which had made a huge impact. In 1731, a performance of the 1718 version of Esther, a work in English based on a Biblical drama by Jean Racine, was given in London without Handel's participation and had proved popular, so Handel revised the work and planned to present it at the theatre where his Italian operas were being presented. However the Bishop of London would not permit a drama based on a Biblical story to be acted out on the stage, and therefore Handel presented Esther in concert form, thus giving birth to the English oratorio.
Saul is the given name. It is of Hebrew origin (Shaul), meaning "ask/question".

Freeman is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Freeman.
Aaron Freeman left Ween in May 2012. He played shows both solo and accompanied by Joe Young from 2012-2014. After moving to Woodstock, New York and teaching at Paul Green's School of Rock, Freeman began working on material for a new album. He assembled musicians from the Brooklyn, New York area as well as North Carolina to record the album for Partisan Records. The new band, "Freeman" hit the road in July 2014 in support of the album. The live version of Freeman featured Joe Young on bass and Zach Tenorio-Miller on keyboards, along with Chris Boerner and Kyle Keegan, who played on the album. Freeman was produced by Chris Shaw who had previously produced Ween's White Pepper album.
Freeman received generally favorable reviews from critics. AllMusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote, "If anything, Freeman is a tighter record than McCartney -- it's not homemade, it's all complete songs -- but there's no denying it shares the same spirit; that it is the sound of breaking dawn of a new day."
Freeman is an American alternative rock band centered upon former Ween singer/guitarist Aaron Freeman.
Aaron Freeman quit Ween in May 2012, citing his desire to stop his long-time drug and alcohol addiction. He played shows accompanied by Joe Young from 2012 until 2014, when he formed a new band, "Freeman," featuring Chris Boerner on guitar, Brad Cook on bass, Dave Godowsky on keyboards and Kyle Keegan on drums. The band's self-titled debut was released July 22, 2014 on Partisan Records. The band spent the second half of 2014 on the road (although with Young on bass) with Arc Iris. Arc Iris keyboardist Zach Tenorio-Miller also played with Freeman for most of these shows.

Been serving for years, never too near, always too far
There was a young girl in the county who had an eye for me
We kissed for a while, that made her smile
Then it came down on me to fake it
I should have found a way to escape it
I was so wrong to say I'd see her one more time
I'm a young man like a preacher, no souls to mend
I've traveled too much to be known as just a traveling man
So they judged me for a crime I could never have done
They said I was one who carried a gun
In the cold light of the morning
I'm gonna go home,
It's never too near, it's always too far
I will have found a way to break it
And when I go home again I'll see her one more time
