Youth Theatre (Serbian Позориште младих or Pozorište mladih) is a theatre in Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina in Serbia. Youth Theatre has two stages: the children's stage and the evening stage. Its ensemble consists of sixteen permanent characters.
The Puppet Theatre, held in September 1931, was the first play performed in Youth Theatre. Over the next few years, a steady turnover of puppeteers continually renewed the group. As their reputation grew, they began to work with resources of better quality. The company played not only on the main stage in Novi Sad, but also often toured around the province of Vojvodina. Plays were performed on Sundays, the only day the audience was unoccupied and able to attend. Tickets were very cheap, and the group often offered performances free of charge.
Youth Theatre was closed during World War II. Afterwards, it reopened under the new name of "Vojvodinian Puppet Theatre". Unfortunately, circumstances were difficult because of the large number of puppets and equipment which were lost or stolen during the war. However, the manager of the Serbian National Theatre, then called the Vojvodinian National Theatre, provided his support to help revive the company.
National Youth (Swedish: Nationell Ungdom) was a Swedish neofascist and openly racist organisation. National Youth was closely linked with the Swedish Resistance Movement.
The group became famous in the summer of 1998 for tearing down photographs of nude boys at the Swedish Historical Museum. The reason behind the action was to protest against paedophilia and "degenerate art". The exhibition was closed down after the event.
Since December 2000 they participated in the annual Salem March for Daniel Wretström, who was killed in the Stockholm suburb of Salem by a group of which some were young immigrants.
Together with the Swedish Resistance Movement they published the magazine Nationellt Motstånd. Earlier they published the magazine Folktribunen, which among other things has praised the people behind the racist killings in Kode and Klippan (in Sweden) as true patriots. The editor, Klas Lund, was convicted of bank robbery and of the murder of Ronny Landin in the summer of 1986. In the beginning of the 1990s Klas Lund was one of the leaders of VAM.
The National Youth Theatre is a registered charity in London. It is committed to the creative, personal, and social development of young people through the medium of creative arts; to this end, it aims to use theatre to aid the personal and social development of young people. It was founded in 1956 as the world's first youth theatre and has built a reputation as a breeding ground for renowned British actors such as Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Colin Firth, Derek Jacobi, Ben Kingsley, Rosamund Pike, and Helen Mirren, as well as singers such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ed Sheeran.
Every year, the National Youth Theatre holds acting auditions and technical theatre interviews around the United Kingdom; on average, it receives over 4,500 applicants. Currently, around 500 places are offered on summer intake acting and technical courses (in costume, lighting and sound, scenery and prop making, and stage management), which offer participants membership of the National Youth Theatre upon completion. Members are then eligible to audition for the company's productions, which are staged in London's West End, around the UK, and internationally.
Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of fine art that uses live performers to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage. The performers may communicate this experience to the audience through combinations of gesture, speech, song, music, and dance. Elements of art and stagecraft are used to enhance the physicality, presence and immediacy of the experience. The specific place of the performance is also named by the word "theatre" as derived from the Ancient Greek θέατρον (théatron, "a place for viewing"), itself from θεάομαι (theáomai, "to see", "to watch", "to observe").
Modern Western theatre comes, in large measure, from ancient Greek drama, from which it borrows technical terminology, classification into genres, and many of its themes, stock characters, and plot elements. Theatre artist Patrice Pavis defines theatricality, theatrical language, stage writing, and the specificity of theatre as synonymous expressions that differentiate theatre from the other performing arts, literature, and the arts in general.

Documentary commission by the National Youth Theatre - working with local students from Deptford who directed the film. The film follows several devised plays created by local young actors for the National Youth Theatre show "Deptford Tales." The film also explores local people, community, culture and the creative process.
Here I break off from talking about Drama Schools...and talk about the next best thing...the National Youth Theatre. Here I recount how the 3 hour physical workshop and the individual audition went at the MAC arts centre in Birmingham on the 17th February 2016. I heavily recommend NYT to anyone considering it. Here I have not edited any jump-cuts etc as I wanted it to feel like an insightful, intimate discussion. Thank you for watching! This performance was part of NT Connections 500 performed by Everyman Youth Theatre from Cardiff. Six friends are interviewed by the police after the disappearance of Lucy Lime, just before the total eclipse of the sun. In 1999 six friends were brought together by Klondike's obsession with the total eclipse of the sun. However, when an unnerving stranger enters their group and pushes the character's power, status and personality, her life is nearly at risk. However "when it nearly happened"... she was gone! We, as a company, hope you enjoy our interpretation of Simon Armitage's Eclipse. We have spent the last 4 months digging deep in this beautiful text and uncovering the truth about each character. We also enjoyed the talent filled weekend at the Sherman in April which was filled with...
