A small peek into some of our efforts in the areas close to the contact line in eastern Ukraine.
Mariupol teenagers are training their peers how to protect themselves from domestic violence and bullying. The young activists underwent special psychological and security training supported by the UNDP, with financial support from the EU, and are now passing on skills they learned, organizing training for children in other schools of their city.
To celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, UNDP and UN Volunteers. together with partner organization, organized a flash mob called The Weekend of unlimited opportunities.
Volunteers from Mykolaivka created a community organization to advocate for the rights of fellow citizens with disabilities.
The tournament “Volleyball for all” was organized in November in Kramatorsk and brought together five mixed teams. The incentive was put forward by a group of people with hearing impairments, who participated in workshop on social inclusion “Inclusive Friendly” organized by UNDP in Ukraine in six cities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
