Fascinating, thanks! It’s striking that paid internships are associated with better job outcomes than unpaid ones. I wonder to what extent this is explained by different students types taking the paid vs. unpaid internships.

Targeted subsidies are more likely to cause price increases than non-targeted ones. With a subsidy to one product, it does not allow people to substitute away towards other lower-priced products.
